New MK Strollers - size?

There are several stroller swaps on the budget thread of the disboard. Here is a link to a new one that is trying to get off the ground.

She only has two weeks taken so far. Her's and mine. I was so glad I found one because they usually fill up pretty quickly and my dates are taken on all 14 of the other stroller swaps. This is for a double stroller, and usually a stroller swap costs somewhere around $20.00 for the length of your stay. Check it out!!

My grandson is tall for his age and we were there last week and rented a double stroller. His head did touch the canopy but was not an issue. Canopy does not fold back but double stroller allowed his some flex room. Single stroller would have been way too cramped for him.

There's a lot of moms on the disabilities forum who have definitely had the same issues lol (including me)

Last year we rented from orlandostrollerrentals.com

DD was 8, 47in and 52 lbs. DS was 6, 44in and 46 lbs. we rented a double citimini from Shannon and it worked great! the kids were comfy, the canopy went all the way over the front if they needed it (and each side was seperate, i think) turned and rolled like a dream! it had a 100lb. max, so we were just under but it was fine. She does have singles, and OP, I think you little one might do fine in it, just check. they also have a baby jogger special needs stroller for the bigger kids.

I'm thinking of renting one of these. I read a trip report where a mom rented one for two older boys (ages 6 and 3) and they looked very comfortable. She had nothing be rave reviews for the stroller.

My DS5 likes to walk, but in the evenings needs a place to sit. We have a Joovy Caboose but my little one can't nap in it as the recline is horrible. I'm debating take two umbrella strollers or for $80 just renting the CitiMini for the week.

We went in Nov with just one umbrella stroller and had to rent a single stroller a few nights. For that price, I could just rent a double for the week from Shannon.

Yes, the strollers are a lot smaller than I had remembered!

Yes, you can switch from a single to a double if you find it too small. We did it with no problem, they just charge you the difference.

My DD is almost 7 but petite. I don't know her hieght but weighs about 45 lbs. Her head did hit the canopy (and kept messing up her hair that ended up in knots) but she was pretty comfortable. I hae to say that even at her weight, the stroller was sooooo easy to push and menuever. I was going to borrow a regular stroller from a friend at home and I could barely push it with her weight so I was very worried about that!

The pockets are NOT big enough for bags, but with the double stroller we had the bag in the stroller with her.

Don't forget that you can pre-pay fro the stroller for as many days as you need on the first day. This made it soooo much easier and less lines to get your strollers any following day.

I would highly recommend them; they were awesome!
