We were in DHS on 3/11, and a few minutes before BatB started, an actor (not in the current cast) walked out and gave a brief introduction, where he talked about the show and the new movie. Then he called a father and daughter up on stage (who had clearly been preselected) and sang a song to them from the new movie (the song sung by Maurice). It was a neat little moment, especially for that father and daughter. After that, he thanked them, welcomed us to the show, and exited. Then the show began as normal.
The actor/singer said in his opening remarks that he had been involved with the production for "a long, long time," but I missed his name. Does anyone know who the actor is, and what his involvement is/was with BatB? I got the impression that perhaps he was part of the original cast for the DHS production, but maybe he was involved in some other capacity. Regardless, it was a neat moment, and a good tie-in for the current movie.
