New military ticket requirement?

I just returned from purchasing six Salute military 3-day park hopper tickets at our military base. Last year and the year before, my husband and I have purchased annual passes and bought the military tickets for our kids and grandkids and gone to the parks with them. Today the lady told me that either my husband or I need to have our name on one of the 3-day tickets. Since we are taking six family members with us and my husband and I already have annual passes and we have done this in the past, I asked her why we needed to do this. She said it is a new rule. I went ahead and bought the six tickets for our family members, hoping that when we get there they will let my husband and I use our annual passes. I guess if they won't, either my husband or I will have to buy another military ticket there (they upped the limit to 12 tickets through the end of this year). My question is, has anyone else had experience with this situation where the military member had an annual pass but was still required to buy a 3-day hopper for themselves when taking other family members with the Salute tickets?

It's been in the offer terms that service members can buy 1 ticket plus up to 5 additional tickets for this past year's offer. It has also said that one of the tickets must be used by the eligible service member or spouse for at least 2-3 years. If they weren't putting names in tickets until you got to the turnstile then the CMs maybe weren't enforcing it like they should have been. But it is a condition in the terms of the offer that they could enforce.

I agree with the previous poster...we have used the "Salute" tickets for the past few years and one of the 6 purchased has always had to be used by the military member. (I'm not positive, but I believe when they were purchased at the AFB names were added to each ticket right then.) Also, the military member had to show military ID each morning to get into the parks, and the rest of the party had to enter with the military member. We were able to park hop later on without the military member, but in November 2014 all Salute ticket holders had to enter the parks each morning with military ID. I guess everyone's experience may vary depending on the cast member they are dealing with, but this was our experience. Military bases also sell discounted tickets which are not the Salute tickets. Some people in our party used those last year and no military ID was required. Good luck planning and have a great trip!
