New Metallica Album

With the highly anticipated metallica album "death magnetic" coming out later this week, is anybody looking forward to it? their new single " the day that never comes", what do you think about it? is anybody going to buy the album? is anybody going to go see them on their upcoming tour also?

As someone who was around when Metallica was first around in the 80's, I like the new song. The beginning is kind of weak but then it gets into more "true" original Metallica. I'm hoping to get the CD for my b-day next week.

My DH and I also fully intend to get tickets to see them and bring DS if they come to CT.

Bad enough I missed Crue when they came around a couple weeks ago.

lol that's what my dad sounds like he was like 17 when metallica first came out, he saw them on their kill em all tour, and he was like "who is this"?? then when master of puppets came out he was like "i saw them when they were nothing". he also missed the crue fest.

When I first heard it, I thought the 1st half was just 'OK' but its grown on me now.... (yeah.. the vocals do sound 'different', dont know whether the whole album is like that or just this song)...However the music in the 2nd half (around 4 min mark onwards) is awesome.. looove it!

Vocals sound the exact same in every song.

I think the CD is pretty good, a lot better than St.Anger. i'm trying to get tickets to their concert in January.

I guess I'm excited, but Im waaaay more excited for the new BB CD coming out later this year.
