I was reading someone's trip report tonight, and they mentioned being disappointed with Rose and Crown's new menu? I checked wdwinfo and the menu there is still from 10/06--anyone have anything new?:confused3 I'd hate to see our favorites gone!

Also, the trip report mentioned not being able to get a burger anymore at Sci-Fi Drive-in? Hopefully, someone has been very recently and can shed some light!

I checked Deb's site, but those particular menus are the same as they've been for a while. I'm interested also in any menu changes as we're leaving in 2days and have ADRs at both restaurants...DH and DS were counting on splitting the burger at Sci-Fi!

The burger at Sci-Fi is on the 4/07 lunch menu on Allearsnet, but not on the older (11-12/06) dinner menus at either site. Maybe someone who has been there recently can shed some light on whether or not it is available at dinner?

If anyone has any updates on a change in the Rose and Crown menu, I'd be interested in seeing what the new menu does or doesn't include. TIA!

The burgers at SciFi haven't been on the dinner menu for at least four years. However, they are available. You simply have at ask your server and they will gladly let you order one.

So in this case, its not that the menus are outdated

It sounds like so many people ask for burgers for dinner that they should just put the burgers on the dinner menu. :confused3 Burgers are a good fit with the drive-in movie theme anyway, regardless of whether it's lunch or dinnertime.

I agree. I asked the server why the burgers weren't on the menu at dinner if they are available once. He said "Disney" (and I'm not how high up he meant) wanted the dinner menus to be more high end and not have sandwiches on it. That was several years ago. I thought it was silly.

When we were at Rose & Crown in April the Guiness Stew and Shepards Pie were no longer on the dinner menu. From what I can recall there was the Cottage Pie, Steak & Fish, Bangers & Mash but the rest is fuzzy. We were looking forward tot he stew so we were a little disappointed it was gone. We had the steak and Fish and it was excellent.

We're eating at Rose and Crown end of May and would also like a menu update. Anyone know where to find it? TIA.

That's weird because I'm pretty sure that a reuben and a grilled chicken sandwich are on the dinner menu. :confused3 It is nice that you can request a hamburger, though.

Thanks for the information. I'm hoping to get the Ploughman's Salad for lunch and am hoping it's still on the menu. The rest of my gang is fish & chips crowd. : )

We were at Rose & Crown 5/5/07 for lunch (inside seating). I had the Ploughman's Salad and DH had the Fish & Chips. The salad was quite large and tasty. They have changed the way they serve the Fish & Chips - it now comes in an inconvenient basket rather than on a plate and they discontinued serving the peas with it. Eating the single large piece of fish out of the basket was such a pain that DH asked for a plate, which was brought without any trouble.

I don't remember the entire menu but I do remember the Bangers and Mash entree was still there.

The strange thing is the lack of peas will make my son happy. I don't have to listen to him this year saying, "I didn't order those peas." :lmao:

Thanks for the information. I'm glad to see that they still have the Ploughman's Salad! :goodvibes

My ds will not miss the peas one bit, either. :rotfl2: But, dh will be sad to see the peas missing from the meal. It sounds like it's another downgrade to the menu. And, it would be hard to cut up your fish in a basket instead of on a plate. Maybe they'll go back to plates if enough people ask for a plate like you did.

Does any one know if the vegetarian dish is still the same on the dinner menu at the Rose and Crown? It was the "Vegetable Selection" and was one of my favorite meals in all of WDW:cloud9:

I don't think that they gave peas a chance. :hippie: :lmao:
