DS2 and I had lunch at Brown Derby two weeks ago tomorrow. Our server told us a new menu had just been introduced that week. We had two new entrees.

Our son had salmon served with a crepe filled with white and black barley and asparagus. He loved it.

I ordered the pork chop served with hash browns, gruyere cheese and apricots. Excellent. Huge portion BTW. I couldn't do it justice.

Wow..those both sound delicious!! We're just panning now for November - I wanted to see if we could do all new places we hadn't tried before (we have done alot, so this isn't easy) - we've been to Brown Derby twice (I liked it, but probably wouldn't have gone twice, except it's really the only fine dining in DHS), but maybe we'll go again, since they have a new menu!
Thanks for the heads up!

It has been a few years since my family ate at the BD. I might just have to add this to our list of places to eat on our Oct trip. That Pork chop you got sounds fabulous!

It has been a few years since we tried the Brown Derby also, I was not impressed the first time one of our complaints was about the potion size ....very skimpy , especially since we had two 18 yr olds (boys) who ate like horses :lmao:

The pork chop did sound great, hopefully maybe someone will update the menu for the restaurant before my trip , am considering going their now for the fantasmic package instead of Mama Melrose :thumbsup2

Grrrr! I had just decided to go with Mama Melrose for our DHS dinner. My ADRs are coming up in just under 2 weeks. And now I read this. The salmon dish sounds wonderful. Will have to ponder this one more time.

any idea if the new menu is posted anywhere? And is there are now different menus for lunch and dinner? Will be at the Poly a week from tomorrow (yay) and considered the Brown Derby for lunch but didn't pull the trigger -- would love to see the new menu....

As long as they keep the Cobb Salad and Grapfruit cake I'll be happy :)

Both are still on the menu. :thumbsup2 The Cobb salad was listed as an appetizer for two but I'm fairly certain it can be ordered in a smaller portion for one...I think the lady at the table next to us did that.

Hmmm, I've never thought the portions at BD were small so I don't want to mislead you. I'd guesstimate the pork chop at 8-10 oz?

The salmon looked great. I had crepe envy but had plenty of goodness on my own plate.:rotfl:

Sorry, I didn't pay any attention if the menu was different for dinner. In fact, we didn't even look at the menu that's posted outside. We knew we'd find something we like.
