New Members Renting points before closing.

Here is a question for the people "in the know". We are hopefuly passing rofr in the next few weeks. I would like to take my wife down to F&W in October. From reading & posting I realize it is a busy month. I might even have a hard time getting into my home resort do to the halloween party.

I was thinking of renting a reservation fot a few nights for an epcot resort. Do these resorts costs more $ to rent at these times? Sould I rent now or try and wait until Jan and take a try with own membership ?

I would wait until January and try to make your own reservation with your own points. If the dates are sold out, get on the waitlist. If it's Boardwalk preferred (more rooms than BCV or Boardwalk standard) I think a waitlist would come through for you.

The going rate on the rent/trade board is around $10.00 a point. People don't usually jack the price up on October ressies until it gets later in the year and it's within a couple of months from what I've noticed.
