I recently put in an offer to purchase Wilderness Lodge points, I'm just waiting on the RoFR process. Understanding that even if I pass, it will still take 6 weeks to close, if I don't pass I start the process again, therefore, I rented points from a member for our January trip. I realize that renters are not allowed to call MS to inquire on their reservation or make any changes, however, if I do successfully close on the Wilderness Lodge contract and become a member, would I then be able to call member services to inquire on this reservation?
I fully intent on keeping my rental agreement regardless if I close or do not close on my Wildenerness Lodge contract. I feel comfortable with the renter and do not have any concerns, I'm just curious to see if members are allowed to call on rented reservations.

and closed on my resale contract August 22nd. I was told that it would take 7-10 business days to be in the Disney system and to call Sept. 5th. Just for the heck of it, (actually I couldn't wait any longer
) I called member services August 31st and I was in the system. I mainly wanted to get my member number but asked the cast member if she could check my November reservation. She said "no problem" since I was now a member. She reconfirmed the dates for me and I was able to make some room "requests" as well as add the dining plan if I wanted. Those were the only things I could do with the reservation. She never compromised the owners privacy and of course I couldn't make any changes to the reservation itself.(adding a day or dropping a day etc). Hope this helps.
