I just got back from 7 days at WDW, and while we were there we signed a 200 pt contract at the AKV. I am just looking around the web now to get a feel for everything. Thought I would join up on the active DVC forums, and say hello.

We were there the day after the two new resorts were announced, but we really wanted the AKV so that was no issue for us. We did get the $8 credit per point for signing during the visit so we paid $96 per point. We also got a "bonus" 200 points since the new Villa's do not open till May. Our "starting" point is December. (Sorry if my terminology is not quite right)

I hope this is the correct forum for this little "hello" message.

And welcome to the DIS Boards. If you frequent the DVC boards here (Operations, Planning and Mousecellaneous) you will quickly know more about the ins and outs of DVC than the vast majority of DVC owners.

Not to mention that you'll be plugged in on the rumor mill. For instance, the recently announced Bay Lake Towers at Contemporary Resort were posted (including renderings) on these boards about a year ago!

ok..newbie here and not especially technically proficient. How do you get the SSR picture put in your signature so it shows up on your threads? I've tried copy/paste and it doesn't pull it over.
