Anyone know what the cash off points incentive is for new members since they wouldn't actually tell you in the webcast? The cruise incentives were nothing new.
Excellent question. Could a sales presentation be more convoluted?Anyone know what the cash off points incentive is for new members since they wouldn't actually tell you in the webcast? The cruise incentives were nothing new.
So, I am holding contracts for AKV = 100 points at $15 off per point. That sounds like the best deal. I guess I will sign and send. Thanks for posting this!!!
I AM a newbie. You could buy 100 points last month with $15 off per point. I put the deposit down on 2/28 and held the contract (per my guide's advise) until the March incentive came out and then until the webcast incentives came out today. I wanted a small contract to get my feet wet so I am glad I was able to get 100 points to start through Disney (and 2009 UY points so in essence, 200 available immediately for this year). If all goes well, I'll add on down the road. That must be resale? Just assuming since this thread is for potential new members and newbies can't buy less than 160 right now through Disney.

With the points available right away (I already have BCV booked for August), the extra 100 banked from 2009, lower closing costs, and no waiting or fear of ROFR, at $97 per point at AKV directly from Disney, I am thinking I did as well if not better than resale.
From what my guide sent to me for new members who attended the webcast, base price is $112
Minimum purchase is 160 points.
BLT: Buy...
160-199 pts for an $8/pt credit
200-319 for $12/pt credit
320+ for $14/pt credit
AKV and SSR: Buy ...
160-199 pts for a $12/pt credit
200+ for $17/pt credit
Please note BLT base price is 120.00 not 112.00

That's why I was really disappointed in this offer. I knew there was a much better one a while ago. Unfortunately we're not quite in a place to buy into DVC yet, but resale is looking better all the time.
