We just made our first DVC contact purchase. I see that annual passes currently aren’t for sale. Since we are brand new DVC members will they offer us the scoricer annual pass?
Thank you!

Actually, what you saw was outdated or incorrect. APs are currently for sale. However, to buy the DVC Sorcerer AP, you’ll need to call MS. They’ll connect you with Ticketing and verify to the Ticketing CM that you’re eligible to buy the DVC Sorcerer AP. Then you’ll give Ticketing your payment information, and voila, you’ll have APs.

You can call into Member Services and do it there too. Just added two Sorcerer Passes yesterday over the phone.

If your DVC membership is linked to your WDW MDE, you don’t need to call MS to purchase the Sorcerer Pass, only to renew. When you open up MDE, as long as you’re logged in using the same login as your DVC, when you get to the page to select passes, it will show you the option for Florida residents, or DVC member. It might ask you to re-enter your login credentials, but it will allow you to purchase online.

That was part of the whole debate a few months back regarding people who could just tap in with new AP’s versus some who still had to go to Guest Services to activate their passes, and one variable that was discussed was the online purchasing of the passes. I purchased 3 new Sorcerer Passes in July, all 3 online, and all three passes worked at International Gateway simply by tapping in (on a day where someone else who also purchased online had to go in and have them activated).

Thanks - I had forgotten they made the change to allow online purchases of DVC Sorcerer APs.

Do I just buy it like I am a Florida resident or should it show DVC as an option?

If your membership is eligible for the pass, it should show DVC as an option. If you are eligible and it does not show it, I would double check to make sure your Magic Mobile pass shows DVC-Y. If it does not, you probably should call member services.

I added direct points to my (formerly resale) membership last month. It took like a week or two for the DVC Y to show up and then I was able to see and purchase the sorcerer pass.

This.

Also, double check to make sure you are actually signed on. When I open up the WDW MDE web page on my laptop using a bookmark, it loads to the home page and says "Welcome, Don!" at the top, and the "Log Out" button is there as well, suggesting I'm logged in, but I believe that's only due to a browser cookie. I'm not really "logged in" as it didn't ask me for my email and password. When I click on Parks & Tickets and scroll down to Annual Passes, only the Incredi-Pass is visible. However, if I then click on "Log Out", then actually log back in, providing email and password (like you would to log on to your DVC Dashboard), and then go back to Annual Passes, the Sorcerer Pass is visible and available.

As above, it will show DVC - the name of the pass is actually “DVC Sorcerer Pass” (in Disney’s mind, it’s different from the FL Resident Sorcerer AP).

On your phone it's got a different name, but on the web site, it's just one pass (just clarifying in case someone was looking for a different product when they go to select the pass). 😉
