I am sending the paperwork in today. I am buying two 150 pts for SSR for 300 pts total. I worried that I should buy some in another resort but decided to go ahead with 300 pts at SSR. Any thoughts on this?

Also, my kids are little and still sleep in our kind bed. Can I rent a 1 bedroom and the four of us sleep in a king bed and invite my sister and niece to sleep in the living room on the pull out? Is this a violation? Will DVC not allow this?

Any thoughts on me getting reservations at BWV for June of September if I belong to SSR?

Any problems getting reservation at Hilton head if you do not belong there. I live close and would like to go there. But I am afraid it will be booked all summer.

Occupancy for a 1BR is up to 4 adults plus one child under 3 in a crib. IF both your children are under 3 I would think it wouldn't hurt to ask MS. But according to the rules, if you had a 1BR w/6 people you would be in violation.

No to the 6 in a 1 bedroom. Occupancy is 4 plus a child under 3, but MS has been allowing 5. You will not get extra bedding or towels though. If one of the kids is under 3, shouldn't be a problem.

I think you will have a decent chance of BWV in June and September at the 7 month mark. Not so sure about HHI, since we have not tried that. As long as you are flexible on dates, you might get lucky there.

Thanks. My kids are 2 and 5. so next year they both will be above 3. But if my niece comes without my sister we can do the 1 bedroom since they are allowing 5. thanks for the info.


thanks for the info about BWV. I will quit worrying. we are taking about 12 people and am worried we will all plan it only to find out we can not get rooms.

Keep in mind that arrangement is not only crowded for sleeping, it's also four adults and two kids sharing one bathroom.

Congratulations and welcome home!

If you call right at the 7 month mark, you should be able to get something at the BWV - probably not a standard view or a unit with a guaranteed view of the Boardwalk, though. However, about 60% of the available rooms are Preferred View (Pool / Garden), and one of those should still be available at the 7 month mark for most June and September dates. In fact, for most September dates, you have a pretty good shot at SV or BW view.

HH is difficult for the summer time - especially so if you want a studio or 1 bedroom. Those are limited in number. But no harm in using the waitlist since you live nearby and don't need to commit to a plane schedule.
