I want to rent but am unsure when can an owner call for a reservation for me..... If their home resort is Beach Club Villas and I want a res for May 1 to may 8, 2008 when is the first day they could check on a reservation for me (11 months from check in or check out?)

11 months from check out. Unless they do a day by day reservation to get something more difficult to get like a GV (none at BCV). Then you should expect to pay more per point for the extra service.

You want to have your reservation lined up before the 11 month call date if it's important to you.

If they call day-by-day for you, then they can call Saturday June 2, 2007 for May 1, 2008, Monday June 4, 2007 for May 2 and 3, 2008, Tuesday June 5, 2007 for May 4, 2008, etc...
