New member-question on codes

I check this site regularly prior to our trips to Disney and have always gotten the information I have needed so for that - THANK YOU!!!!

The question I have I'm sure is answered somewhere on here but I can't find it. If I call for Room Only Reservations and ask if there is a code associated with my name and if there is a code do I need to book right then or can I call back and still have the code?

I would at least have them put the rooms on hold, you have 2 weeks to pay your deposit. Some people have called once and had the CM tell them that they have an available code and when they call back to book the next CM has no idea what they are talking about.
