I toured with my cousin. I was able to have the food and coffee at the Dvc center, I got to watch the movie thing, tour the sample rooms, and make the guide nervous with how exact she used her words, and I could have gotten ice cream, but my cousin got the gift card and I did not.

While not a typical tour, we got to do the grand opening 'open house' member tour last summer for CCV (we just so happened to be at Disney for DD bday, got the email, and said what the heck let's go). Hands down best tour ever!!! Got catered buffet lunch at Artist Point, learned the backstory of CCV, were serenaded (a special birthday edition of some Hank Williams) by the banjo character - whose name I cannot for the life of me recall, but it was really cute- and got CCV pins for my family after the tour. Guess it worked, cause we bought there 4 months later lol!

I didn’t mean to.

But I have a face that shows everything, and the one or two times she said something iffy she caught my reaction. She was actually quite good, compared to what I’ve heard.

(The guide we bought from was terrific, but of course has left the company. And a month after I went with my cousin our assigned guide that we’ve never met emailed lol)

I can’t answer your renting points from others question. However, about allowing your brother to stay at the resort using your points, I can. Just as described by your DVC sales rep, you can book a room for other family members using your points. I’ve done this quite a few times for my daughter, her husband and their daughter (my granddaughter). I enjoy being able to gift them a nice place to stay while they visit DW. As for compensation for using your points, this would be between you and your brother. The DVC customer service are very helpful and are wonderful to work with especially when booking a stay.
