I saw somewhere that Disney is promoting the beds they have in there hotels.

They had different mattresses and linens as well as the H20 line of bath products?

Do you know what resorts have these beds?

I LOVE OKW but have never thought their beds were anything to write home about, a bit on the too firm side for me.

Hoping that this year they have refurbed for a newer, softer bed.

Anyone seen this?
I sure dont remember where I saw this at, but I'm working on just a few hours of sleep today.:upsidedow

There are also catalogs in the rooms.

Unfortunately, the bedding in this catalog bears no resemblance whatsoever to the bedding in the resorts. :lmao: We stayed in a newly refurbed room at GF in October, and they did have a pillowtop mattress, but I don't think it was the one in the catalog. And the linens were nothing at all like what's in the catalog. Standard hotel sheets, blankets, bedspreads. You'd figure if they'd have this stuff anywhere, it would be at GF.

We thought the matress was MUCH better last month, and the new linens are an improvement as well.

Do the new linens included fitted bottom sheets?

I bring my own, otherwise DH has us sleeping on a bare mattress by morning with as much tossing and turning he does all night.

I just stayed at VB and AKL and the mattresses are much much better than they used to be. Not pillowtop - but very comfortable and the linens and towels are much improved as well - still no fitted bottom sheet. But the blanket is an actual blanket and not that horrible thing that felt like a styrofoam covering. Big improvement in my opinion. I used to hate the mattresses at most of the DVC resorts.

We were on the Disney Magic in September 2007, staying in room 2550. I LOVED MY BED. Still to this day I think about that bed and the wonderful nites sleep I got. I was also 22 weeks pregnant at the time and found them extreamly comfy. Now that I have a 10 week old baby, I would kill for just one nite of sleep....more that 3 hours please. If I could have strapped the mattress to my back and carried it home I would have.
Does anyone know what kind it was??? We might be in the market soon.

Thanks for finding this info. I must of seen it in an email.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is appreciates a comfy bed during their WDW stay.;)

So does anyone know if OKW has new beds? Last time we were there was last June(07) and we were in a GV which was beautiful!!! but I thought the beds were just a little to hard. I think after a long hot day at the parks that a whirlpool bath and a bed you can melt into would be heaven.:cloud9: They've got the bath part down but it would be nice to have a better bed to sink into.

I here that the Swan and Dolphin has phenomenal beds, but I just really am sold on the atmosphere at OKW not to mention the ability to spread out in nice sized accomodations.

Realfam, Did you find out what the beds are on the Disney cruise line?
I'm glad to hear that they are comfy, as we are to sail next May /June.:woohoo:

we stayed at OKW a couple of weeks ago. My girlfriend came by and seemed to think we had the new style bed.

Firstly i agree they are TOOOOO hard! and the pillows are way toooo soft! But also the mattresses are too high off the ground. I had to take a running jump to get into bed lol! :)

Live from OKW - - beds are high - - beds are hard - - no new beds for OKW. We looked at the models at Boardwalk the other - the beds in the model are heaven. Maybe someday we can have them at OKW?!?!?!?!?

We had the new mattress at OKW last month, so perhaps some units do have them, and some don't. The height of the bed has little to do with the matress at OKW. The bed frames themselves are high.

Life from OKW - - - just a quick question - we were in a two-bedroom lock-off and now are just in the studio. We did have a new mattress on the king bed but the queens are still the old ones. What type of bed did you have at OKW, king or queen?

Think I will check around, maybe they are planning to replace all of the beds here in the near future.:confused3

I know when I saw this I just :rotfl2: :lmao: Westin etc are selling LINENS they actually USE. Disney is selling what they SHOULD use for the prices they charge at their deluxes. Only Disney! :confused3

The linen at DVC had always been a bone of contention for me. I have complained, called, written. Some of the resorts now have larger sheets, and they are slowly updating to Wamsutta towels etc....but SSR still has flat sheets that do not fit the mattress. They don't even tuck in! I always bring my own fitted sheet to DVC resorts just in case so I don't have to sleep on a bare mattress!

Carol,

Westin Heavenly Beds are really comfortable! On Sunday I flew from Orlando to Tokyo... hit the heavenly bed at the Tokyo Westin... and I went into a coma. I felt great the next morning!
