NEW March 3-10, 2012 - Western Caribbean with the Magic!

They gave us a choice of Poly or the Yacht Club. After we told them it was for our honeymoon she said "let me check if there is anything available at GF." We are really excited since we would never be able to afford staying there.

Is anyone else having problems with the dcl website? Have tried for weeks and on many platforms to get my son registered for the oceaneers club. Always a failure. I keep getting booted off and made to sign in a dozen times a sitting. Tonight I can't even get on the activity planner page to change a shore excursion. Very frustrating. I have contacted them several times and their response has always been they can't duplicate the problem. Aaggghhh! Please tell me someone else has had similar problems. :tinker::dumbo::goofy:

I have had problems when using Mozilla Firefox. When I go on using internet explorer or my MSN account it works.

Hi Everyone,

So I must confess... I am a worrier by nature. I read a few Magic trip reports this morning and in most of them the people flew down the night before and mentioned what hotel they stayed at. We are flying the morning of our cruise and get in to Orlando at 11:00 AM. I did this because I thought we'd both be working on Friday. Of course now we both have that day off but I think it would be too much of a hassle to try to change flights at this point. We are flying United because I won the tickets at a benefit and we have to change over in Washington DC and DCL already has all my flight info for the ground transfers.

Anyways I was just wondering if there is anyone out there like us that will be flying in that morning?

Out of the 22 Disney trips we've already taken and the many other trips and cruises I've only once had a flight cancelled and that was in August due to a Hurricane. So I don't know why I'm so paranoid. It must just be my nature. Of course living in New England with our unpredicatble weather and March and April snowstorms does not help. This winter has been so mild I keeping waiting for winter to actually hit.

Cathy

I am a worrier in that department as well. While we are flying in the day before for this cruise, we have always flown in on the day of for our five previous cruises (always in March, and always flying out of Toronto or Buffalo, which can be temperamental that time of year for sure) and never had any problems. I'm sure it will be just fine!

The only reason we are flying in the day before is because we are coming from California and with the time change can't do day of. If I could do day of, I would:)

The time change works great for us though....I always keep the kids pretty close to their normal bedtime when we travel and when we go to the East Coast, I keep them on West Coast time. This means they get to stay up late and enjoy the nighttime stuff and sleep a little later for Mom and Dad:cool1:

We were on this cruise last Feb and flew down the morning of the cruise. We arrived in Orlando around 12:30. Everything went very smoothly. We decided to leave on Friday this year since our daughter's school is closed one day of our trip.

I have to say we are flying down the night before because we are worried about the weather, I mean winter does actuaaly have to arrive in new england at some point? We are also hoping to sleep in the morning we start the cruise, just a tad. If we leave on Saturday we are up at 2am to make the flight or have to stay at the hotel in Hartford the night before and still get up at 4am...so still an extra hotel night and by flying Friday we get more sleep.

Congratulations, Ryan! Enjoy the GF!

We are coming down the day before but won't get in until after 9pm so my daughter can finish her school day.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get to the port and when to get there? We were thinking of staying at the airport and then taking a shuttle to the port but I've seen some comments that you will have to wait in a long line for the check in since everyone on the shuttle is arriving at the same time. So now I'm wondering if it is better to stay at a hotel by the Port and use a car service to get there. Any suggestions? :confused3

We are taking happy limo from mco to hotel then after the cruise from the port to the parks. good reviews, less than or equal to cost of dcl transportation. Staying at a hotel near the port just to make Saturday as easy as possible. Hotel has free service to the port.

We are actually arriving on Thursday afternoon, and spending Friday at Universal. We got a car rental for only $17.50 a day. I did lots of shopping around for car rental and hotel and ended up with great deals.

We will be flying in on Thursday afternoon, spending two nights at POP before the cruise. We have never had a delay when flying into Orlando but I just didn't want to chance it. We are flying out of Maine so you never know what kind of weather we are gonna get!:goodvibes

Youngest daughter and I are going down Feb. 29th and doing a few days in the parks. Then hubby and older daughter are coming down Friday morning.

I still have to figure out how we are getting to the port, if we are going to just do the Disney transportation or get an outside source.

I just ordered my FE!!! So excited. Now going to order some outfits for my girls :)

I took the kids to see Chipwrecked today. Thought it would be a cute way to get us excited for the cruise. Well, a quick way to undue this is watching the news with the pictures of the cruise ship that wrecked off the coast of Italy!!! Good thing my kids don't freak out easily! :cool2:

We haven't made a decision on how we are getting to the port, either.

As far as your FE, did you order from Tiffany off of ebay? I saw she is on vacation from Feb 1 through 14th... it would be nice to receive our FE before Feb 1, but I'm guessing it won't arrive until later February.

Have my fish extender gifts well under way...did we ever decide if there is a deadline on sign up? Just wondering so I can plan when to finish these up...
Anyone seen recent navigator's? Just to get an idea...
Was chipwrecked cute? Little man wants to see it.
And one last thing, GO PATRIOTS!!!!!:tinker::dumbo::tinker::goofy:

For an FE sign up deadline we had previously discussed Feb. 1st. That way everyone would have enough time to finish everything.

I'm good with February 1st as the deadline for FEs:)
I'm also working on making shirts for my family- is anyone else?

We saw Chipwrecked too- so cute. Also just saw Beauty and the Beast 3D on Friday:thumbsup2

I got plain shirts for me and DH and some Iron on transfers. Not sure what I am going to put on them though. I was thinking about the pirate design for pirate night, and Maybe another one for our first day on the cruise, but not sure. And I'm not sure if the designs would look better large on the front, or back, or small in the right corner on the front. Any ideas?

Good news - FINALLY we booked our flights this pm. I was growing weary, trying to catch a good deal. Alas, I did not get the best deal ever, but the bonus is how good I feel now that I booked. It is a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders!
