new magic bands for each trip???

We already have MBs from our last trip. I now have 2 more ressies- 3 nights at a DVC followed by 4 nights offsite (with 2 throwaway rooms at a value)...will I be getting new bands for each ressie?

I was hoping we'd just be able to use the bands we have now again. I'm confused

Why do you have the throw away rooms? I thought they weren't needed anymore?

To answer your question, each guest in each reservation will get 1 magic band per reservation. I'm doing a split stay DVC in may and got 3 magic bands. (1 for each reservation)

So do you have to mark them down so you know which ones to wear at what time?? What a PIA this is.

Will I have to pick our colors again or will the bands be the same colors as I picked last Nov. How do they know what tickets to link to what bands? I have 1 ticket left on my OLD band from Nov. but I just bought another 2 day ticket separately. What band will have what tickets? DO I bring my old band for using the old ticket and will that have my FPs on it that I booked for ressie #1?

Another question- if you just booked offsite- how do you get your magic bands?

All your bands should work interchangeably. The bands don't actually hold your tickets but link to your profile on MDE. (1 profile many bands) Now with the two ticket issue, you may want to talk to a CM when you check in to make sure they prioritize them if you care which ticket is used up first. Yes you will have to pick new colors. (I picked different ones so I can change colors when I want)

You can also log into your account and deactivate old bands that you don't want to use anymore. Hope that clears things up a bit.

If you never booked a resort you can use your ticket as a media for FP, or purchase a MB (once you have one from a previous trip you could use it for future off property stays)

Ok, this is all making much more sense now So I can basically wear any band I want on any day as it links to my MDE.

While I will receive new bands for each ressie-I can wear my old bands and be just fine right? Or wear the band that best matches my outfit!

I've received multiple bands for split stays. The good thing is that they're identical. All of your My Disney Experience including tickets, room keys, and credit card info. will be on both bands.

You can wear whatever bands you want to wear, as long as it's linked to your tickets in MDE.

Anyone know why DW is mailing out so many MBs? I'll have 3 sets over a year period. That's got to be a lot of $$$ for DW to spend when I already have a set. I don't mind having multiple colors and being fashionable but it would seem to me that it's a huge waste of disney $$$.
