This last visit we made a meal of the various dim sum offerings and found them to be very tasty and a nice light change of pace to a heavy afternoon meal. My personal favorite is the Honey Sesame Chicken (I plan on cheating in Sept. during or next visit, I passed this one up the last time, but not again :)). Portion sizes are large enough to share on most of the entrée items and all entrée items are served with steamed rice and a fortune cookie. I'm not sure if they still offer the Red Bean ice cream for dessert, sorry.

All in all Nine Dragons has always been a wonderful dining experience for us and is one of our 'must eat here' restaraunts. Hope this little menu/review helps.

Wow, thanks for posting all of that. We tried Nine Dragons a long time ago and found the food bland. But maybe we should give it another try!

I've heard such bad reviews of this restaurant that we have never tried it. But that menu sounds soo good we might have to try it next time. Also, your personal experience helps persuade me too. Thanks for taking the time to type this up.

Did you try the potstickers or General Tso Chicken??

Thanks for posting this!

How does entree selection work on the Family meals, if you can remember?

Does each person choose their selection from that list, or is it a "choose 1" or "choose 2" type of thing?

In September, I'll be taking my family, including my inlaws, to WDW for 8 days. My inlaws are Asian (Taiwanese, Chinese) and really eat very little non-traditional Asian cuisine. I've scheduled a lunch PS at Nine Dragons mid-week for our whole family, in hopes that they can get enough of a Chinese food fix to sustain them for the rest of the trip.

I'm pretty sure neither of my inlaws has gone more than 2 days without eating traditional food before. I'm terrified that 8 days of vacation food will make them miserable.

I was there in May hoping they had the all you can eat lunch. It was not offered. Being by myself I didn't want to order a big plate of fried rice and a main dish as I knew I couldn't eat it. I ordered Won Ton Soup and Dim Sum. Everything was very good.

I recommend the "Singapore Noodles" that dish is out of this world.

:)

Wow, I got a little excited there for a minute. I love Ma Po Tofu, it's one of my favorites - till I read that they ruined it with pork. Why??? The other tofu dish is served with meat, too. I wonder if they'd do it vegetarian if you ask.

Cuddlemama - I've never ordered the Lunch for 2 or for 4, so I can't answer your question. I'm sorry, wish I could be of more help. I can tell you that I've seen many Asian tourists eating at Nine Dragons every time we've been there. Whether it's traditional by their standards I can't say. But everyone seems to be enjoying the food.

maggiew - The pot stickers are one of our favorites, ever since they had them at F&WF one year. Unfortunately I'm allergic to all forms of hot peppers (no Mexican for me :( ), so General Tso's is out. I'm always hesitant about asking for special preparation of food. I'm almost sure it would be no trouble....I just hate to put the kitchen staff to any added bother when I LOVE the Honey Sesame Chicken.

joyjoy - If the food isn't totally prepared ahead of time, I'm sure they could leave the pork out. It never hurts to ask.....the worst they could say is No :sunny:

BTW, I sent the entire menu to Deb yesterday, so hopefully the Menu site will be updated shortly.

We had lunch there in May. It was fantastic. Food was great - as was the service. I highly recommend this place. I had the Spicy Beef Shank in Spicy Dressing twice - I have been craving it ever since and plan on having two more orders when we go back later this month. The Honey Sesame Chicken is to die for. I often eat various authentic Asian cuisines (Korean, Thai, Chinese, etc). Although this cuisine is not as authentic as I have had, it is very good and a CONSIDERABLE improvement over what it used to be. It has now become a "must try" for us.

Thanks for posting the new menu. My husband and I are big fans of dim sum - we'l have to give this a try on our next visit.
