New Luggage Tags for On Site Guests

Will be staying on rented points mid-October - will we be receiving these tags with our pre-ordered bands?

So let me understand this, the luggage tags which were always part of the Mickey Mail (even here in Canada) are now in the Magic Band box. So, since Disney refuses to mail magic bands outside of the U.S. despite having a distribution center here non-Americans have to get the luggage tags at the resort. What brilliant mind at Disney thinks it's a good thing to get luggage tags after you have already travelled. I would have thought you'd want to use the TO travel but I guess I don't think right to work for Disney. The Disney disdain for its international customers continues.

I feel the same way! I thought maybe the tags would come with our DME stuff but now I see they are with the magic bands, meaning we won't get them till check in. I'm not too concerned about not getting the magic bands (though it would be nice to have them) but the luggage tags would be really nice to have before we travel!

These are adorable!! My favorite design is the grey one but my favorite color is yellow so since I'll be wearing my MB for 6 days, I'm going to stick with yellow. But, I love the yellow design as well!

My hubby will get Donald and that's also adorable!!

Did you book an actual PACKAGE through the WDW Travel Company? Apparently its only coming to those that booked packages (resort and theme park tickets)

Have you looked at post 73 and pulled up the insert in your magic band box to revel the bottom of the box where the tags are staying?

Perhaps you are one of those lucky folks who get their luggage tags at the resort for their return trip home.

That would explain it then. I didn't realize is was for room and ticket packages. We're AP's and just did room only

Staying on friend's DVC points this December. Will be disappointed if I don't get the new matching tags. I guess if I don't get them I'll have to wait until my "cash" trip in April/May '16. I love this idea though. Can't wait to see them!!

So glad I followed this thread! We received our MB's earlier this week and I completely forgot about the luggage tags, so I went back to see if other guests had received them separately but was pleasantly surprised when I read that they would be in the box. Needless to say, I went home and checked, and there they were under the bands! It was a nice little surprise and they are really cute, but I agree with other posts about Goofy...his tag lives up to his name

Excuse my ignorance (first timer), but does everyone get luggage tags or only those flying and/or using Magical Express? TIA!

We are not flying and we recieved them. They were underneath the packaging for the magic bands.

I got the new tags and have a room only reservation with dining plan (military tickets).

Apparently we missed them by 5 days. We leave the 25th and we didn't get any. Oh well. Next time.

I believe the special nature of military bookings (the fact you can get dining plan with out tickets) means that it is booked as a magic your way package. Room only is literately when you book only a room at the time of initial booking.

To those on DVC points I believe those do not get anything because DVC is not a standard room or travel package. Unless you book one of the DVC rooms with money through Disney directly (that what is happening when you book villas and some suites) then you don't have a package but instead have a DVC booking.

We have a room only stay and we didn't get the tags. It HAS to be a Magic Your Way package to get the tags.

I wish the OP would come back and edit her title since it's misleading. Not all onsite guests get them...only ones with packages.

How did you book the dinning plan with out tickets then? In order to get the dinning plan you have to have a Magic Your Way package which includes tickets unless you call and have them override it. I have to imagine that because you have military tickets they did something back of house to let you get the dinning plan as well which then coded the reservation to be a Magic Your Way package.

We booked our room and dining plan through a TA, so I don't really know how she did it. I bought the military tickets myself and linked them to MDE. We did get MNSSHP tickets, but not until after we'd reserved the room and dining plan.

TAs are able to book "ticketless" packages.
