New Le Cellier dress code?!?!?!?

Hi everybody, my sister, who does NOT frequent the boards , told me that she read somewhere that Le Cellier now has a dress code: no tee shirts/tank tops, flip flops etc. We've just always dined in our park wear.

I can't find anything on this subject. Has anybody heard about this or..........is my sister on some kind on hallucinatory substance??

Since that restaurant is inside a theme park,there's no way they can have a dress code.

If Le Cellier becomes a signature restaurant it will have a suggested dress code which will include tees which are not torn, flip flops that are not straight for the pool, and most other park attire

Interesting, I agree that in-park restaurants shouldn't have a dress code, it just doesn't make sense.

My sister supposedly read no tee shirts and i'm not really clear on what else.

I'm sure it's for when the 2011 new dining code begins in march when Le Cellier becomes a signature restaurant...they have a dress code. Should be fine until then.

When we went last we wore shorts and t-shirts, but things may change now that it's a signature dining experience.

Came from Disney. Was released with the 2011 package info that it will be changing to 2 TS credits.

I was wondering if it would change dress code. We wer going to try and get in for lunch next year but if they have a dress code I am not going to mess with it. We will be in our shorts and t-shirts.

If it is going to 2TS I can only hope the quality of the food goes back to where it used to be.

If it goes to 2 credits, wonder if they are going to change the menu and prices? Seems like the food at most 2 credit restaurants is about double the price of the 1 credit places.

A dress code suggestion is not listed for Brown Derby on the WDW site as it is for other signature restaurants

The dress codes for the signature dining restaurants are for the most part just a suggestion. They only things that are not permitted are swimwear, tanktops,mens' hats, torn or tattered clothing, and t-shirts with offensive language or images. Oddly, the only two signature restaurants that do not list a dress code on the Disney website are The Brown Derby and Lecellier.

Here it is directly from the Disney web site and exactly the same for each signature restaurant that has a dress code listed:

Guest Policies

•This experience takes place in a non-smoking environment.
•This location can accommodate most special dietary needs. Advance notice may be required and cancellation fees may apply. Please indicate any special dietary need at time of reservation booking. Learn more about how we can help accommodate special dietary needs.
•Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

I missed the news that LeCellier is going to 2 credit. Is it the only restaurant making a change next year? We have eaten there every trip, but we skip it if it is 2-credits.
