New Laws I Would Like to See Implemented

In honor of pork barrel spending, I am proposing this new law be added to some upcoming legislation because it will add so much to the quality of life in this country at minimal expense.

"I hearby declare that from this day forward, all semi tractors pulling flat bed trailers MUST clearly state what they are carrying so people either following behind or passing from the other direction will know what that "stuff" is."

History: Over the course of several years we would see flatbed trailers heading west on I-20 through Fort Worth carrying a single big molded "thing". Turns out they were the housings for the wind turbines heading to the windfarms in west Texas and New Mexico. A simple sign stating "Wind Turbine Housing" would have saved me a great many brain cells that I wasted pondering what they might be.

Next?

Oh, but it is great entertainment listen to my little ones come up with all kinds of creative ideas as to what that "stuff" is. LOL

I think it should be illegal for me to see parts of people that people pay money to see, especially if it is on people that no one would pay money to see it on. LOL

About ten years ago we drove behind a truck loaded with these:

We couldn't for the life of us figure out what they were.

A few months later we saw a peice on PBS about artificial reefs being created from these conrete "reef balls"

DH and I were so excited to finally know what the heck they were.

You guys are in texas, right??

Use your six shooter to shoot out the trailer tires so the driver pulls over and simply ask him what the load is. :rotfl2:

My daughter's new porkbarrel law:

In addition to contractor information, construction sites should be required to identify what company the building is being built for... Is it going to be yet another McDonalds/Wendy's/Jack in the Box or is our town finally getting a Raising Cane's Chicken or In and Out Burger.

All Car haulers or drive-on flatbeds with room should pull over and fill up with cars and campers heading their way.

I think spandex should be outlawed.

You can also google 'eternal reefs', you can also be cremated and put in one of these instead of being buried.

I think spandex should be outlawed.

I think spandex should actually be worn more, in the for of Spanx UNDER certain peoples' garments. I know I haven't left the house without spandex under dress pants and dresses in years. LOL

I totally agree with her!!! That is so not fair that we have to wait to find out. Although, it is yet another interesting guessing game for my kiddos.

Every time pork is added to a bill in congress, they should add that same amount $$ to a "vacation stimulus" to be divided amongst TAX PAYERS , :thumbsup2

after all , if they need to spend millions to figure out why spiders have legs or why pig poop stinks, dont we deserve to figure out why we like vacations !?!? That would be money well spent.

Only a politician would have to "study" why pig poop stinks !

can things get any more absurd ?

Workers should all be cross trained in case of high unemployment. Therefore I think that Hooters waitresses should trade off with Walmart greeters every other week. :thumbsup2
