Just wanted to point this out. I figure this mixes things up a little, after all of us think "Toontown, Toontown, Toontown" because of Yavn's pictures in the recent newsletters...

I'm not going to speculate. I just want to inform! :thumbsup2

They also told us that they had no plans to change staff costumes right up until the very minute they did. She's probably just trying to spark a conversation and get people guessing after yavn dropped some (intentional?) hints at us...

The new land in my opinion would be Mickey's Toontown Fair, not just centered on "Toontown" to many they are the same, but to me they have their differences.

I had thought that, but I also thought Yavn's so called "hints" could just be throwing us off as well... :surfweb:

Well, there was a poll along time ago asking us what kind of track we wanted next and the top choice was waterslide. just throwing that out there.

There has been waterslide tracks out for a long time. Check out Neds (:

That's what he meant. The most voted there was what we ended up getting. Toontown was most voted on that poll.

Ahem.

Disney's Toontown Online has nothing to do with Toontown lands in the parks. Seems like the hosts are keeping secrets from us ;)

 Maybe she just wants the surprise to not be spoiled. Before tomorrowland came out, we got a glimpse of one of the underwater rooms. This time it seems we got the glimpse of toontown with the VMK Pass. I dont think the land ideas can change over night ;) It takes a long time for them to make lands... First they need to graph it, then add the buildings/floors/furniture. After that, they need to add the walking space so the characters dont walk through buildings. If you ask me, toontown has a 99.9% chance of being the new land.

I think she's just trying to throw people off because that's not even a valid reason. Toontown Online is absolutely NOTHING like VMK.

Well just thought I would let you guys know what Hula said to me and others in her room last week. Mickey's toontown diamond(or whatever it is) was the original name for the baseball room we have now, it just got changed to what we know it as now.

My thought was exactly the same as what Lily said. I realize that the Toontown game is nothing like VMK but that still, to me, doesn't make sense to add it to VMK. Yes, the poll did support Toontown being the new land, but we don't know for sure what they have started building, from among the choices in the poll. Just because it won the poll doesn't mean that that's what they had started building. I'm just being stubborn about wanting one of the other lands in the poll, so don't mind me.

By the way, does anyone have an idea about when this new land will be released?

Here's my comparison chart. Feel free to add on:

ToonTown, an Online Game
  1. An online game where you defeat “Cogs” and regain toontowns former glory
  2. It's online
  3. You can chat to people that are in the form of various animals
  4. Object of the game is to defeat “cogs” and take down their buildings
  5. You can buy various virtual gags, furniture, and “Doodles”
  6. Cogs have railyards
  7. Testers test new items for the game
  8. Special events happen on special days
Toontown and Toontown Fair
  1. A land in both WDW and DLR where you can meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and many more characters
  2. In parks
  3. You meet and take pictures with various characters from Disney movies
  4. Object is to have fun!
  5. You can but hats, posters, pins, and many more various products
  6. Toons have trolleys(DLR)
  7. Imagineers design, build, and test new attractions for toontown, like Poohs Playground. I want the Bounce House!
  8. Everyday is a wish come true

There have also been polls that never had an effect on their releases.

Also throwing it out there, that just because we saw it in the newsletter doesn't mean it is what we'll get. We never got our Pink Tron Suit... and that was pictured on VMK.com as well.

Just thought you would like to know the picture has been added to the wiki and photo credit is given. Look under the myths and rumors section

I don't know. It was really looking like Toontown, but now... who knows, really. Personally, I will be forever grateful for an Epcot land, although no hints have been pointed at that it seems.

There have been hints toward Epcot- the new turnstile that charges for room entry, says epcot on it. People are arguing that Epcot is not a land -its actually a park, which is true, but that doesn't mean that they can't make it a land for VMK, so who knows! It will be a surprise.

Oh yeah! Forgot about that. I would really love Epcot... I can totally picture a room with the giant golf ball thing in it. And another room which would be the Living Seas.I guess it is a park. Eh, what difference does it make, really.
