Wasn't a fan of Michael, but he was the King of Pop. However, Kanye West (definitely not a fan of him) says it should be him now. Kanye West even went so far to ask the Jackson family for their blessing.

I wouldn't even consider Kanye's music to be pop. Also, I have not heard a song of his that I like.

I don't remember anyone claiming the mantle of "King of Rock and Roll" after Elvis died.

Hopefully the Jacksons laugh in his face and deflate that ego he has.

Kanye is majorly popular. Especially his song, Stronger. I like him he has talent. I don't think he outshines the rest though.

As far as him becoming the next King of Pop, I dunno. I'm thinking he needs to put more than three years into the effort!

He's a rapper. One of the better ones out there but it's not pop. No one will have that title again just like no one was the king of rock and roll again.

I like Kanye's music.
But ever since he came out with his ego, I recall for some reason Muhammed Ali back in the day.
It's like he wants to be the Muhammed Ali of rap.
But I did watch a show with him recently and also he was on SNL one time and he can actually make fun of himself.
I think the ego is just a publicity thing.

I used to like a couple of his songs, but then I saw him perform on American Idol. It was so painfully bad, I can't even listen to him on the radio anymore!

It's amazing the things they can do to make an AVERAGE singer sound good.
