New JTA procedure

Do you mean in the M&G? She can still fight Vader in JTA
Ah...ok. Then I misunderstood. I thought he had been taken away from JTA as well. At least there is still some hope. :) Thanks for clearing that up.

I have to say, I missed the Storm Troopers and their slightly bumbling humor from last year. I liked the comic relief. DS mentioned it too.

We don't watch Clone Wars, so DS fought Vader again, but the Seventh Sister stole the show. Everyone had their eyes on her during our performance. She was very dynamic and I think more talkative.

Wish I would've stayed up to date on the DIS while at Disney last week. Had no idea they were doing this. On Sunday we got there about 20 minutes early and they didn't let anyone through the gates until 8. We didn't try sign ups that day but didn't see anyone going in so don't think they were letting sign ups in that day.

On Friday we got there 15 minutes before opening. Had people waiting at ropes inside, but as we neared they let them go. We wondered how there was a 45 minute wait for sign ups when they literally just let people in, but we didn't think there was a way they were holding people with ropes over that way.

We told my nephew we'd wait, but he didn't want to. One of our only disappointments of the trip so it's not that bad. Just kicking myself for not reading these boards while I was there so we could've known this (although I had VERY LITTLE down time).

"We were there on Tuesday 2/22, and when we arrived at 8:20 they were letting people in for JTA. We went in and signed up, the first few shows were already full."

Monday's date was 2/22. Did you mean you were there Tuesday 2/23?

My bad! It was Monday 2/22. The day's blur together when your on vacation. Also...we went again on Saturday 2/27, we arrived at 8:10 - since last time the first 2 shows were full when arriving at 8:20. They did not let in until 8:25 (CM said they would let in at 8:30). We were pretty close to the front and we got the first show. This was the morning after a PM EMH. Not sure if that matters???

The shows are all day long, right? So, if you're okay with a late afternoon show, is there still a chance of signing up? Or, is it getting filled for the whole day up pretty early? We have a 10am breakfast at H&V, but now I'm worried that we won't get through the the wait fast enough to make our reservation.

Get there early no matter the time you'd like. Line gets long as soon as it opens for registration.

Many want first available, but you are missing out if you don't do an evening show. The lightsabers lit up make the show even better than it already is. Add in the sound effects when they have the kids fire em up.

We were there Saturday and got to the gate at 8:20, they let everyone through the gate at 8:28...we went directly to JTA sign up and were out of that line and waiting at the "official" rope drop area at 8:45..they then played the greeting and we were in star tours line at 8:53

so this is going to be a bit of a recap ask here, but they are taking people from the rope drop area and doing a JTA sign-up area near the entrance at the ropes? I've never done JTA so I don't know how any of it works.

We were there on 2/23 and they no longer allowed early entrance for JTA sign-ups.

Get to the park entrance at least 45 minutes before the scheduled park opening and head directly to the JTA sign-ups when the park opens.

I have an 8am rezzie at H&V. If I ask the CM what time they will be opening the gates for sign ups will they usually tell me?

And if I scoot over with my kids mid-breakfast will I have to sign up back outside the rope drop or can I go directly to the JTA sign up area?

Can you see the sign-up area from the H&V?? I don't want to rush my breakfast...but I must have the JTA...:smooth:

You may be allowed to sign up before you enter H&V. Many have reported on that recently.

If not, then watch the crowds going by. All the JTA people will be passing by H&V on their way to JTA sign-ups.

Can anyone update on recent JTA signup experiences? Can it be done pre-rope drop still? Still over near Indy?

Can anyone please give me an update on recent Jedi signups? We have an 8AM pre rope drop ressie next week at H&V. I don't want to miss sign ups or get stuck behind a long line while eating breakfast. I got the reservation so we could get the jump on the crowds for sign ups like we did last year but it seems things have changed.

I'm also curious if anyone without an ADR was allowed to enter early to sign up recently. We go on Thurs and we're hoping to sign up DD ppo.

Can I send DH ahead to do the signup, and then we show up a little later? Or do the kids need to be there for signup?

Just got back. Arrived at hs gate at 848 on a 9am opening day last week and the park was already open. Waited an hour in line with our kids and got first available at 2:40pm. The line was huge. It didn't appear they allowed early sign ups on our day.
