New items 8/10!! Including Rereleased Green flip hat!

I know a lot of people are bummed that they rereleased the green flip hat but it's true what someone said earlier ... you had time to wear it when it was rare! Think about all the enjoyment you had when you walked around and everyone was envious!

I bought 2 full Tron outfits (for me and a friend) a week before it was rereleased for more than twice the amount of credits. I realize that people traded rare items so it's a lot more important than credits that can just be replaced but my point is that, my friend and I had so much fun walking around in the matching outfit!

I know that they'll probably rerelease all the hats at one point or another but that doesn't stop me from still checking out the tradeboard and looking for ones I don't have! I recently got 2 Jafar hats and my friend and I are having a ball walking around VMK with those huge things on our heads! When it's eventually rereleased, we'll just rotate to a different hat (since everyone will obviously be wearing the newest available hat).

I guess the one thing I know to do is to just make sure I limit it to pay only double the amount of an item and not more. I do feel for all of you who traded rare items ... I read the board and am amazed at what people are willing to part with to get something they really want. I guess to look on the bright side ... maybe they'll rerelease the things you traded?

The queue for Ned's is insane. I couldn't figure out why, until I realized some people have started a rumor that cowboy is for sale, which it is not. Why do people do this?

That's the reason for the insane queue! Don't people know that they are looking in the wrong shop for cowboy anyway?

Green Flip? Surprising I suppose, but not much with the return of the Pan Hat. I'd expect to see the Musketeer and Princess Hats in the next few weeks. Anyone know the order of their original release? Are they going in the same way now?

The order they were released in Hat Month, 2005 was: Minnie, Sorcerer, Musketeer, Pan and Flip.

Gray mansion would be awesome. Everyone's is complaining that rare items are being rereleased. Why? You all knew it was bound to happen sometime. So what if the item goes down in value, you had it while it was rare. If your that worried, then trade it. If not, then don't complain, because you only want it because it's rare.

Yeah. It's the nature of the game. Things get re-realeased without us being told when it's going to happen. There are many times that someone will trade a lot for something one day and then that item gets released the very next day.
If you don't want to give so much for something, then don't. But if you traded so much for something, then obviously those items weren't worth as much to you as that one thing you traded for. Be happy when it's re-released because then you don't have to spend credits to buy it.

So what's your prediction for what rare will be released/rereleased-I'm predicting Stitch-hey a girl can hope can't she.............

I'm predicting that princess hat and/or musketeer hat will be next.
I also predict that we may see grey mansion and brown cowboy back out soon.

Anyone else getting that feeling once they are releasing a large number of rare items?

Nice sandwhich board - not really my style but but there are certainly signs of a major event in the VMK timeline.

on topic Nice new releases, tiki was expected and re-released in the past - Green flip I am a little partial to, I don't mind that everyone has it but do they all have to wear it the same day. It's my normal fare now I have to change for a few weeks Saves me many unwanted trade request so i look at it as a possitive overall.

Not sure if everyone remembers but there was a poll a while back asking us what should be done about rare items. The winner was release rare items weekly/few at a time. They are just listening to the people who voted. No matter what VMK does it will not win. I am not surprised at all by this release.

maybe its possible there going backwards...IT MAKES NO SENSE WHY VMK WHY!? WE ALL TRADED SO MUCH RARE FOR IT!!

Ya know what though. Im glad that they are rerereleaseing some items because if they just do some than for the newbies that come they will start tradin stuff but the real thing is its all part of the gaming expirence for me. If i have all the rare items in vmk i dont think i would have that much fun. Its the challenge of the trade that makes it exciting. If you had everything that vmk ever came out with... what would you do? Just walk around the place play pirates or something even though you might have like 30000 credits just at random? So call me crazy or yell at me or do whatever it is you wanna do but I THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA

Bug thanks for posting the new items again this week.

As far as the re-release of any items go I see it as perhaps vmk's way to cut down on some of the scams out there. An easy, immediate way that does not require a lot of systems changes which would mean time consuming programming, testing etc. And maybe in the background the team is working on a more permanent upgrade to trading to make trading things safer.

(Just my spin on it. Although I did not have flip, I did trade a lot for some of the other re-released items.)

Yes see i like the positive additudes! This is why i love vmk because i know that they always seem to have the best plans ever. I just dont like to think wrong about vmk its just impossible!

Love the new outift! And as for rereleasing things....WHO CARES!!! I'm sorry but really at this point do we have to keep seeing the complaints that it is happening on virtual items. As was said if you traded whatever for whatever item and it is released the next day or so that is the risk you take in trading. I prefer they do this so that maybe it will cut the scamming down ALOT. This is one hat I didn't own and don't care about. Its ugly! I have never understood the big deal about that hat. It was rare but yet ugly. Obviously no matter if they release the stuff or not not all will ever be happy with what is decided in the end. I'm just hoping this stuff being done with 1) cut down scammers and 2) as was said, bring new stuff for us at Halloween.
