New info on "Million Dreams" promo

"Dream Squads"? *sigh*

I'm afraid that this means that they'll be looking for a specific type of people for some of the best awards, such as a night in the castle. I doubt that me and my partner (2 guys in their 30s) would get selected for such an award (or any other special dreams) even though we'd both think it'd be a blast to spend a night in the castle, among other things.

I rather see these things awarded randomly and fairly by a computer such as when you scan your ticket on the way in, or get a fast pass. Maybe Disney doesn't want to risk having, for example in my case, 2 guys to be the ones being sent to all of their parks around the world as ambassadors when they could hand-select the perfect looking family (mom, dad and 2.5 kids.)

Surely nowhere does it say that the "Dream Squad" will be giving that prize away, but I rather see awards, any and all awards, be distributed randomly.

I want the free vacations for life!!!! Actually, I just hope that that prize goes to someone who can really use it - the family who is going on their once in a lifetime trip that they can barely afford.

They still may be. I would not be surprised if some of them are randomly selected by computer (such as the admissions or Fastpass kiosks) and if you are chosen, the Dream Squad approaches you. They would not be able to hand-choose the major prize winners like they do, say, the opening family at the MK, because as I understand it those are considered to be tracked prizes and their underwriters would have an absolute fit. All it would take is one lawsuit against disney saying that 90% of the families chosen for large prizes were traditional families of photogenic qualities with young children and the promotion would be toast.

A few more details have leaked out regarding the dreams to be granted during the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion. Apparently, prizes will include the previously known Golden Fastpass tickets and overnight stays at a new room to be constructed inside Cinderella Castle, but also complimentary Disney vacations for life. In addition, according to Parks & Resorts chairman Jay Rasulo, "special Dream Squads will be encouraged to fulfill more than one million extra special dreams, both large and small, in a first-of-its-kind, 'only at Disney' magical experience.

The original press release said all Disney Parks so yes, Disneyland too although there won't be the stay in the castle, instead it's special suite I think at one of the hotels.
