New info (and map) of Universal's plans across I-4

I read the same article. I wonder if the "Transportation Connection" will be a Monorail! A girl can dream....

Would be nice but a year or two ago Universal tried to add a walkway to connect from hotels to universal and they were turned down. I doubt this will be approved

It's gonna be buses, don't you think? But, it sounds like they want to connect their parks and make the transition as seamless as possible, so they want their own right of way. I wonder if they'll install screens like they have on the Hogwarts train, so guests look out the 'window' and see anything but I-4 sprawl.

But, yeah, a monorail would be so freaking cool. And, what better shot across the bow at the Mouse could you build than that?

Maybe not a monorail, but some kind of cost efficient elevated system. One without real windows, perhaps screens like the Hogwarts Express. No one wants to see I-4 area. It will need to keep the traveler "immersed" in Universal. After all, this is going to be a game changer with Volcano Bay, a fourth park, more hotels, and who knows what other surprises Universal may have. Buses just will not do.

The walkway did get approved as part of the I4 Ultimate project. This link shows the plans for the area, you can see the pedestrian bridge in the upper left called out. With the new bridge over I-4 to the outlet mall/artegon area to Universal they'll absolutely need it.

From what I hear, and it's rumor mixed with speculation, the "transportation connecter" will likely be something similar to the Hogwarts express, maybe closer to Jurassic World, though stops at the current parking garage, wet n wild area (whatever becomes of that) and down at the new south complex, and maybe Volcano Bay also.

Whatever Universal has, that will be awesome. I like being able to park one place, and ride to the other areas instead of driving.

I wouldn't be surprised if Universal builds a new park, along with the inter park transportation system before Disney opens Star Wars land!
