This is what my guide said were the new incentives as of today. I only asked about current members, but I would assume that they would work for new members who have a member referral.

Base price of $112.00:

BLT - $5.00 off, 50 - 99 points
BLT - $11.00 off, 100 +

AKV/SSR - $13.00 off, 50 - 99 points
AKV/SSR - $19.00 off, 100 - 124
AKV/SSR - $21.00 off, 125 +

I forgot to ask him about BLT at the 125 point level, and whether that adds another $2.00 off or not.

But he did say that they were told that the BLT incentives were going back to just $5.00 per point at sometime in the near future (maybe 2 - 3 weeks).

I guess they are focusing on trying to push AKV and SSR and don't want BLT to sell out so quickly. AT this point, they are looking at 6 - 9 months and with the push for the other properties, maybe having BLT around longer.

For me, the $8.00 off I got on my 50 points is better so I am glad I started things! But for those wanting AKV, the deals are definitely better!!!

I am sending my contract back today! I added on 100 BLT while on the Wonder -- $16 off per point. I don't know why I was waiting to send it back...did I really think BLT incentives would be better after the 15th :confused3
I could have gotten 100 SSR for $21 off per point which is better than what is now offered. But I couldn't resist BLT.

Tay, were there any other incentives on the Wonder in addition to the $16 off? My guide originally told me to wait until we are on a cruise in the fall, but than came back after she checked and said there would not be anything better than the webcast.

No, there were no other incentives. The actual cruise incentive was a couple of dollars difference per point extra -not a big deal, but on a 100pts that's $200 dollars. We opted not to take the 3-night cruise incentive - took the $ off instead. I have friends who are waiting until their December cruise to add-on since they have usually seen better incentives on the cruises. It's a hard call...

Here's the full list at the price break points:

BLT
50 points $5 off $107/pt
100 points $11 off $101/pt
125 points $13 off $99/pt

AKV/SSR
50 points $13 off $99/pt
100 points $19 off $93/pt
125 points $21 off $91/pt

And here's the one that surprised me....

GCV
50 points $16 off for $96/pt
100 points $22 off for $90/pt
125 points $24 off for $88/pt!

Wow, GCV going for less than AKV/SSR? That is surprising! I guess GCV didn't sell as well as anticipated.

Is initial contract new members still 160 Points?

Thanks very much!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Yes, I believe that it is. But some have reported being allowed to spilt the 160 between two resorts, as long as one of the contracts is 100 or more (ie: 125 AKV and 35 BLT).

Hmmmmm, I wonder if DVC might be changing the minimums of the new member buy-in based on the fact that there is no "tier" for 160+ points??? I guess that if DVC is trying to limit how quickly BLT sells out that lowering the minimum buy-in for new members, as well as lowering the incentive, would accomplish that too. Anyone know for sure what the incentives are past 125 points?

AND, *holy cow* about GCV being at $88/point!!!! I would never have guessed that!! :scared:

I'm guessing the price difference is due to GCV not offering current year points for certain UYs? We have an OCT UY and if adding on would be weighing 50 points SSR at $99/pt with both 2008 and 2009 points vs. 50 points GCV at $96/pt with points starting 2009. The purchase difference is $150; not sure how prorated dues would play into the total picture.

I'm so lost now.... I just got off the phone with my guide and was told that our 160 point AKV contract that was $96 per point is now $93 per point. Not the $91 that has been reported here. Does anyone know why this would be?

Are you a new or existing members. You have to have 200+ points to receive the $21 discount for new members. Try this link, It breaks it down for New/Existing members by property. I'm waiting for a call back from my guide to get the new VGC discounts.:cool1:

Sorry guys about the confusion - I am a member and was quoting prices for add-on's, not for new members. That's why there isn't a 160 point price break. I also didn't ask about anything higher than the 125.

I wonder if FL sales of GCV aren't doing so well and they're trying to attract more east coast sales since the majority of DVC owners are from that half of the country?

Thank you so much for the link. This has cleared everything up for me.

We just got off of our Disney Magic 7 day cruise. WE added on 200 points at BLT for $92.00 a point. We could have taken a 7 day cruise but chose $20 off instead. That was only available if you added on 200 points or more. WE could have added on at AKV but the dues are more there annualy. I don't know if this cruise promotion is going to be continuing. Hope that helps someone.

We are brand new DVC members. My guide today told me the price for our 265 pts at VGC was $90/pt. I asked about the $88 mentioned on the boards and he said it must be for existing members while on a cruise. He said there was nothing else he could see that could make the price $88 for us. Does this seem accurate? Thank you

This is not what was told to me by my guide nor others on the board. I included a link from another DISer with the information they were told (and wrote down). http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2205073

We're existing members who just bought in at GCV yesterday--162 pts. on a separate master contract with a June UY for $88 a pt. We were thrilled--I started the contract on the Magic last week at $94 a pt., but needed to wait until DH joined me at WDW to actually sign--we saved almost $1,000 on the deal!
