We did not have a CM come thru the crowd telling people to stand up last week. When we entered the CM said that we were free to sit but that people would stand for the show.
Some people, especially towards the rear remained seated. No one was forced to sit. Thd fireworks could easily be seen seated.
What we liked was after the fireworks they do the castle projection show again and the crowd was very light. Outside the FP+ area everyone close to the front of the castle sat on the ground to watch it. We sat thru the show as close to the castle as was physically possible. It was amazing to see it at such close range.
