New House Pics -- 7/20 update (pre-drywall)

Here's a pic from the kitchen, into the family room (and you can see the den/library in the back).

Here's a view out the kitchen sliding glass door to the back yard.

This is the dining room entrance off the main foyer.

Here's the master bathroom (shower and toilet will be to the right).

And here's a picture of the front window from the upstairs looking out.

Lovely! The doorway into the dining area is great with the arch! And I like the upstairs window looking out the front.

I also have photo's of my house going up piece by piece. It's very exciting! Looks like a very lovely home. Can't wait to see the "after" photo's!! Or maybe we can all come by for a "Disney" House Warming party!

When is the house expected to be done? Is your little guy excited too?

It's scheduled to close late-September. We'll have an exact date in probably a week or two. And Cameron's thrilled with the new house -- he loves running in and pointing out which room is his! Now, getting him to understand that we have to sell our current house and actually move is a different story -- but we're working on that.

Are you involved in building it Steve? I like the design, looks like it will be very open feeling.

We really enjoyed watching our go up as well. We would walk down the street almost nightly during the last couple months. It was also fun to choose the details along the way.

Not real actively involved -- we try to make it over to the house a couple times a week, once during the weekend for a walk-through, but it's a 20 minute or so drive from our current house to the new house (not very far, miles-wise, just no direct route).

It's built primarily on spec, but we had the chance to upgrade some things and pick some options out. Which worked out best for us, as doing a completely custom home would have been way too time-consuming (and probably resulted in numerous fights! )

LOL -- good point there. Well, we will have a very large backyard -- as long as people don't mind dirt!
