When we were there in November, there was a new hotel being built along South Harbour by the Fairfield Inn and Camelot Inn. Does anyone know what hotel this is going to be? I've looked for info but can't seem to find anything online. Would love to know what's being planned!!

I don't think they're building a new hotel between the Fairfield and Camelot. It looks like they're building a new Panera Bread Bakery Cafe in front of the Fairfield Inn.

My understanding is there is a new Courtyard Marriott going in behind Mimi's Café that will have a waterpark and should be opening in July.

I noticed the address was 1420 S. Harbor Blvd, which is about where Mimi's Cafe is located. So, that should be interesting. Given that it's going to have a water park, that should provide some interesting competition to the HoJo. If they're hoping to open in July, they must be pretty far along in the construction by now!

I'm definitely looking into it for our trip in Sept/Oct.

It is right behind the Mimi's Cafe. When we were there in December we had breakfast there on our way out of Anaheim and the building seemed to be far along in the process!

Site says they will start taking reservations in April and lists Mimi's Cafe as one of their dining options. Might have to consider this for August trip.

It looks really really fun from their website pics. Bunk Bed rooms and separate shower/tub!

Rumor is the HoJo owned that empty parking lot space and the Marriott is paying HoJo (which they used to own ironically) "rent" for the new Courtyard Waterpark property. Marriott owns that Fairfield which is right next to new Courtyard as well. So they'll have a pretty good monopoly on the 2 closest walking distance properties.

We always stay at GCH at are considering staying at this Courtyard in the summer once they start taking reservations because the waterpark looks fun for the kids! (no I don't work for them  it's just fun to have a new property in the area to add some new life onto Harbor! )

I wonder if they'll let the Fairfield Inn customers have access to the Courtyard waterpark? Probably not, but just thinking out loud.

There is also something (hotel?) being built behind the Marriott. It looks as though two of the buildings from the Quality Inn (previously the Pennysleeper Inn) were demolished for this.

I haven't stayed offsite since I traveled with my parents. What do the hotels on harbor typically cost for a standard room?
