new hotel across from the park?

When we were there in November, there was a new hotel being built along South Harbour by the Fairfield Inn and Camelot Inn. Does anyone know what hotel this is going to be? I've looked for info but can't seem to find anything online. Would love to know what's being planned!!

This will be very cool!

We are paying $188 plus tax for a superior room at the HoJo. I wonder if HoJo will lower their rates once the new hotel is finished, in order to compete with them. That would be nice.

Further down the road they are building a Great Wolf Lodge that includes a water park. I had no idea about this Marriot, though! Exciting!

Welcome!!!

1. search disneyland good neighbhor hotels. that will give you the range.

2. The earlier you book, the better the rate.

3. Cost is in relationship to what you are willing to sacrifice for a Harbor lodging.

This is great. I love having more hotel with waterpark options for the kids. This might give Hojo a run for its money.

This Courtyard hotel looks huge. Adding this number of rooms to the walking distance hotel stock is a boon for consumers.

Does anyone know exactly when in July it's supposed to open? Our trip is the 6th-13th...

Thanks everyone!!! We are booked at Tropicana for August but depending on price, I'd love to switch to this hotel!! I don't suppose anyone would have any idea of the rates for this hotel?

I am very curious too as to what the price will be, I am not familiar enough with the different chains to know if Marriotts are $ or $$ or $$$. The big rooms, bunkbeds, water park....gonna get interesting for HOJO! We did HOJO kid suites when they were pretty new and a great price. I don't think for the money they want now for kid suite we'd stay there again, competition will be good for hojo for sure.

I believe (pls do correct me if I am wrong) this new place is owned by the same owners as Hojos - so not owned by Marriott directly. It will be opened on Hojo's 50th anniversary, which coincides with Disneyland's 60th anniversary. I have read 2 opening dates - July 16th and July 17th. Apparently, bookings will be available sometime in April.

I am currently booked at the Fairfield Inn next door and switched my dates from July 11-17 to July 15-22 so I can consider the new Courtyard when bookings become available. It looks pretty neat :) That said, a Courtyard is not a full service hotel and I hope the prices are in line with that. And unfortunately, Courtyard does not offer a free breakfast (but then again, neither does the Fairfield Inn where I am currently booked). We will see what the prices are like and if it seems reasonable. If not, I'll be happy at the Fairfield :)

If a Courtyard is landing right across from the park, it's a slam dunk that the prices will be considerably more. If the Trop is averaging around $120/night and the Fairfiled is averaging around $160/night, you can expect a Courtyard with a water park to be at least in the $180-$220 range. If you're looking for price, Courtyard is never the way to go. That's my guess, anyway.

I would expect this price range as well. But I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.

ah I see, underground parking. I was just looking at the overhead and thinking "they're taking up the whole parking lot!" haha

The second hotel that will be behind the Mariott will be a new Holiday Inn Express that will also have a small water play area. It is set to open in Aug.
