Dear friends,

I'm back with new Hosta-photos. This week I have given my site ( http://www.hostacollectie.be , see button ' Updates' ) a new update. You can see photos from H.Dressed In Green, H.Brass Ring, H.Bread Crumbs, H.Anglo Saxon, and many more.
This update is the first one in a serie with photos I took this summer.
I hope you 'll enjoy it.
Friendly regards,
Danny Van Eechaute

Thank you for posting your Hosta site link. Very interesting. Never realized there were so many varieties. My fav would be Christmas Candy.

I'm having so much trouble with my computer, and at the moment, I can't get your link to open. I'll try again later!

I was reading an article about hostas the other day, and the author claimed that miniature hostas (less than 12 inches high and 12 inches across) are the future for this very popular plant. Do you agree with that, Danny? :)

The same author also stated the following:

"The holy grail of hostas is the red hosta. There are hostas now with red in the leaf stem and beginning to be red into the veins at the bottom of the leaf. The first person to develop a true red hosta will make a fortune!"

Have you heard of this? What do you think? Are you also searching for the holy grail of hostas? :)

Kim

Dear,

I hope everything is OK with your computer now.
Mini Hostas become also very populair in Europe.
It's true: The first person who develops a true red leaved Hosta will make a fortune. I hope one of my seedling is a red leaved Hosta.

Friendly regards,
Danny

Cool! I love Border Favourite (that was hard typing the "u" in that word ;) ). It looks like the sun is shining through the back.

I was able to open your link this morning, Danny, and my favourites are Bread Crumbs and Cookie Crumbs.....love the food names! ;) :) Thank you!

Good luck to you in your endeavour to develop the holy grail of Hostas!! :)

Dear friends,

This week I have given my site Hostacollectie ( http://www.hostacollectie.be ) a new photo update. Many new photos are added, inclusive photo's from future Hostaintroductions as H.Elkhart Lake, H.Eye Declare, H.Nougat, H.Fireworks, and many more special Hostas. Each Hostaphoto contains also a leafdetail-photo.
All photos are taken from plants out of my collection.
I hope you enjoy it.
Friendly regards,
Danny Van Eechaute

You have some very nice pics there, Danny. :)

I like the Hosta Nougat, and it's predominantly cream colouring. :)

The 'Kiwi' green stripe in the Kiwi Full Monty is very well defined. The name is kind of interesting too! ;) :)

The ruffled edges of the Tunisian Dream are nice, and the photos of the Amethyst Star and One Man's Treasure flowers, are beautiful!! :)

Thank you for sharing your update with us, Danny! :)

I need to get out and cut back my hostas, they've gotten very mushy.

Kim
