New Homewood Suites Delayed

I have just booked these for Jan. How easy is it to get to Disneyland apart from walking. I have read somewhere about the toy story parking lot been close by. I not sure how this all works. Thanks for your help.
We are staying in July and yes it is right next to Toy Story lot so you can just walk around the corner and catch the Toy Story Shuttle

We stayed at Park Vue Inn last summer and the rooms had been recently re done the breakfast was awesome and can't get any closer to the entrance so if that is a possibility for you I highly recommend it! We are staying at HS next summer so I follow their FB page and seen this morning where they posted they were pushed back a bit and then I had seen where Holiday inn was also pushed back so that makes it hard to find places!! Good luck and have fun

We stayed at Park Vue last year. While it was an okay stay (and awesome location), we felt the walls were crazy thin. Mostly felt bad because we had early riser toddlers up at 4am (thanks to being used to mountain time, which is still early)!

hmm we didn't have any problems, maybe we didn't have neighbors??

In Aug we stayed at EmbassySuites S (Garden Grove), is this the one you are thinking about staying at? We got a great rate of $120 per night and I felt it wasn't worth it. Wouldn't stay there again. Last Oct we stayed at DoubleTree Suites and loved it but the price difference was around $60 per night and we were there for 6 so we opted to try Embassy. DH spoke to the manager about our complaints and ended up getting 1 night free.

No we were offered Embassy Suites Orange which is on N State College for $149/night and they would comp the shuttle. I also have back up reservations I made awhile back at Residence Inn in Garden Grove.

We loved our stay at Residence Inn GG a few years back and LOVED it. Yes it's a little further away but the breakfast was amazing and the rooms spacious.

I got a call from Homewood Suites yesterday verifying our stay, November 12-18. The said they are opening on November 12th and we will be the very first to stay in our assigned room!! They said this a "firm date for opening" and can not see any reason to not open. They told me they will be fully staffed and on site starting November 9th, but delaying the opening to the 12th to make sure computers are up and running and all the staff are fully trained. Fingers crossed! But I am holding on to my backup hotel until the 11th!!

It sounds great we are running the math and trying to decide though since the RI is $189 per night and we would have to pay for shuttle or parking at DL. It is so hard to tell if it is worth paying ~$160 more for our 3 day stay.

Will you post your review here??

I certainly will! We are very excited!
Our stay isn't until the summer and I am also excited! I have liked their FB page so they have been putting pics up and it makes me even more excited!! can't wait to start hearing reviews and seeing pics!!!!

And I still don't have any confirmation of alternate reservations. This is getting very frustrating! I can't find if anyone else is going through what we are, and when I called ES in Orange where I was told by Homewood that I had a reservation, they have no record of anything and it appears it is sold out for my days. I've got a phone message etc. into the new Homewood, and I guess I will have to wait till tomorrow to hear back from them, which means 6 (!) days till we leave.

And this isn't feeling last minute at all when I've had these reservations since early July.
