New homes for stuffed animals?

I have been going through boxes and things of my 4 DD. I have found a lot of new and gently used stuffed animals. Does anyone know of places that can use stuffed animals? I thought I saw a post on this somewhere, but now I can not find it. I just don't want to give them to Goodwill if someone can put them to use. My DD's may not thank you, but I do.

We usually do give ours to Goodwill. They get sold there for about 25 or 50 cents a piece. I know for a fact that many people with limited incomes shop there at Christmas time, etc, I always find Goodwill to be a good charity.

Ask your local police station if they need any. Works kinda the same way as the domestic violence shelters.

We donate ours to the police station. They give them to kids they have to seize from bad situations, while processes take their course.

I give them to my dog...he has quite the collection. He likes to carry them around and find interesting homes for his 'babies'

I like the police idea. I know they also bring them to schools/preschools when they visit to help the kids remember them.

Thanks for all the responses. I will start with the police dept. and then go on from there. I do send a lot to Goodwill. I just was trying to start with someplace different this time. I am still amazed my how much stuff my girls have. Both my Dh's family and mine live close by so my girls get lots of gifts.
It is both a blessing and a curse.

Goodwill got ours. I'll have another batch soon as I'm weeding them out this weekend. Good ideas.

See if there is a Good Bears of the World in your area.

They provide bears for many different groups! They give to kids in distress, cops for kids, Alzheimer patients...... This is a wonderful organiztion!

Our local fire department & police department takes them. They give them to kids when there is an emergency or something like that to help calm them down.
