I think Disney was cautious with the HS event. Was not sure about demand.
Appears that was not a issue. Will sell out quickly

I thought I read they were owned by the Osborne family and were returned.I think those Osbourne lights are spread out around the immediate Disney World area at other displays now!!
I believe GKTW has indicated they have at least some of those lights from Disney. We've seen the display - once a couple years ago at their 'village', and last year at the H2O water park not far from AKL. It's not the Osbourne Lights of Hollywood Studios, but they are still something to see - while supporting a great cause for sick kids.I thought I read they were owned by the Osborne family and were returned.I just read that they were used by a charity GKTW.
You are correct! The lights were donated to GKTW and they are used each year to light up the Village, they sell tickets as a fundraiser during the holiday season. For special ticketed events the ticket is your reservation. If you want to go into the park before the admissible time with the event ticket you need a day ticket + park res.okay - silly question.... We are flying in on the 11th and will be gone by the 18th. Do you need a park reservation in addition to buying the ticket or is the ticket considered your park ressie? Thanks in advance.
Just an FYI, Powerline Max & Goofy have been regular meets at DHS at least since January. We've met them several times and they are GREAT!Jollywood looks AMAZING!
Seriously muppets and Powerline and max and just ong. I love that it will alleviate some stress from the party and processional and also give more to do!
Kudos to the team in this one!!
The announcement seems like they won't be, and they are "illuminating castle in whole new way."Interesting announcements and some really fun stuff returning. But no mention of the spectacular Christmas lights returning to the castle in Magic Kingdom. Really thought those were popular enough they'd bring them back after the 50th stuff came down. Guess there's still time to make that decision - those lights were top 5 on our list of things to see at WDW during the holidays. Projections are nice, but the real lights are breath-taking......
Ok - now that I'm looking at the right month on my calendar, I'm hoping to snag a discounted room and be able to book tickets for both on a back-to-back Friday/Saturday. I've always wanted to do MVMCP and the prospect of a new party is too exciting to pass up!
Right, I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. I can't change my MVC reservation so ... ugh. I can add before and after but there are no parties those days.Preparing for the absolute BLOODBATH that will be getting Jollywood ticketsLuckily we’re already booked at GDT for Dec 1-5 so fingers crossed I can get tickets for the 4th! It’s my best friend’s FIRST EVER trip to Disney and I am determined to make it special for her!…..by completely over-scheduling us!
HOPEFULLY they will release more nights. Hardly seems worth it for 10 days.I think Disney was cautious with the HS event. Was not sure about demand.

This morning as I went on to see what my hotel options were with the new discounts (I can get AP, D+ or FL) ...... it was the first time ever I've had to wait in a queue. Only reason I was looking was to add dates so I can early buy tickets. Am sure not alone. While this is all very exciting, I'm just going to address the obvious elephant in the room: I think Disney is trying to kill TA's this week. I feel personally attacked.
We started going from the beginning. Osborne Lights were brought to Disney way back when in the beginning when it was legit just a large private home lighting set up. Those particular lights didn't last long. Many of the creative displays were rebuilt by Disney. By time most people saw the event likely all the lights were ones Disney built and then had expanded it many times bigger than the Osbornes. At that point in time Osborne's probably were too old and no longer safe to use.I thought I read they were owned by the Osborne family and were returned.I just read that they were used by a charity GKTW.
It is a really great event and a beautiful setup. They moved the fundraising event, and the lights (I would imagine) to H2O last year. We're hoping to go back for another visit this December. You are correct! The light were donated to GKTW and they are used each year to light up the Village, they sell tickets as a fundraiser during the holiday season. It's a great event.

I think odds might be low so not a chance I would take. Thanks. It seems like they’ve allowed people to change party dates in the past. If it works out better, wouldn’t hurt to ask![]()
Oh yeah, we're there the same week and I expect these tickets to go fast. Lucky for me, I just had an unexpected surgery this morning so get to work from home for the next few weeks so hopefully won't miss these tickets now! Definitely the bright side of this mornings unexpected twist!Preparing for the absolute BLOODBATH that will be getting Jollywood ticketsLuckily we’re already booked at GDT for Dec 1-5 so fingers crossed I can get tickets for the 4th!
