New here with Questions

Hi I just discovered this board as We will be embarking on maybe a once in a lifetime trip to Disney in July. I never thought we would get to go!
So I want to understand exactly how this works. Do people make the designs with the kids names on for free and then you copy it and print it out on special paper? Is there some charge? Do you need to use a special printer? Do you enlarge the copy or something? I also am confused as to the dark and white copy paper. I did see a site where people were referring for shirts. Are these really low quality?

The designers on this site including me create designs for free. For t-shirts, amymickey has some great transfers. Their is no special printer needed, the one you have should work just fine. If you see something you like and would like personalized, just request it on that designers thread. Trust me, this can be an addicting past time.

T-shirts can be bought on-line or at various stores including Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Target and Wal-Mart.
