Hiya
I've just joined and am looking into booking a family holiday to DLP this March. If I book soon, I'll get 2 free child places and 15% off. :thumbsup2

I wonder what people have done about accommodation for a family of 2 adults and 3 children? Do we need to book 2 rooms? Can we get a family room?

I'm leaning towards the Sequoia Lodge as our preferred hotel, but would be willing to stay anywhere except the Davy Crockett Lodge or the expensive Disneyland Hotel.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
TIA
Sharon

Hi Sharon and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

We have the same dilema, although love the DCR. You could consider ajoining rooms at the Cheyenne or a suite at the Newport bay Club which can accomodate 5 :)

Just a thought but the 3rd child isn't an infant by any chance ? I only ask because I'm sure you can also have a cot in a standard hotel room for an infant -although presumably there is an age restriction.

A family room at the Newport Bay Club could be an option, this would be on the Admiral's floor and I can highly recommend, the hotel, floor and facilities although haven't seen the family room itself.

The Travel Explorers (Selected hotel not Disney) has the possibility of adding a connecting room with 2 bunk beds to it's standard room. We're hoping to book a stay there in March. Elaine (Ware Bears) one of our moderators will be able to give you more info. on this hotel.

Hope you get something sorted:goodvibes

Thank you Jill and Cyrano for your replies.

My children are 4, 6 and 8, so no infants.

I was thinking of booking 2 rooms, with 1 adult in each as an alternative to a family room. A family room would be better though.

Thanks for the tip about the Explorer Hotel too. Must look into that option.

Hi Sharon, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

There's some info on the Explorers in the Hotel FAQ at the top of the page. :goodvibes
