Hi all!

I'm new to the site and have been reading about the codes and am soooo confused!

We are planning an extended family trip in September for 11 people. This will be about our 20th trip to the WDW :). We are planning on splitting our stay btwn the Fort Wilderness trailers and the GF.

I"m really confused about the codes? And the free dining plan?

Can anyone just give me some general info on these things and what I would need to do to find out more about them??

Thanks sooo much!

Dani

I'll try to help as best I can.

Codes are broken down into various categories:
-Postcard/PIN Codes: These codes come attached to postcards or your account and can ONLY be used by the person the card is addressed to.
-Annual Pass/FL Resident Codes: These can only be used by people with APs (must show at check-in to get the AP rate) or FL residents (need to show valid ID showing state residency)
-General Public Codes: These are open to everyone, but have been few and far between recently.
-AAA: AAA members can get various discounts during the year - must show AAA card at check-in.

As far as the free dining goes, Disney usually has this available during it's slower periods - in the past they have been during late Aug. & Sept.

To find out more about these you can check out Mary's site:
mousesaver.com
or just keep an eye on these boards - they are on top of things!!!

HTH!!! :upsidedow

Thanks for the info!

So with the free dining plan, is that offered to everyone or is it like a postcard deal?

And if you use a discount on your room (such as Florida resident) can you also do the free dining plan?

Thanks again!

Dani

The past couple of years it was opened to the public, and there are many of us waiting to see if they will again this year. Last year they announced it in April I think. I got in on it in June.

In the past no other discounts were associated with it, you have to pay rack rate for the room. It is still a much better deal than some others out there.

Thanks!

A couple more questions...that's it, I think :)!

Do you have to buy a package for it to apply? We already have some tickets (left over from before) and I think my dad might be buying some this time but not for sure.

Also, we have 11 going (2 will be one year olds) and are planning on the Fort Wilderness for the first 4 nights and GF concierge for the next 3-4 nights. We usually get the FR discount, which do you think would save us more? We've never done the DP before, so I'm not familiar with the rates.

Thanks!

Dani
