Hi. I am new to the forums, was recommended by a woman on my local board who said you all know everything I might need to know to plan a vacation to Disney :)

I have a 3 year old and 8 month old and we're trying to figure out the best time to take them both for age appropriateness and enjoyment, as well as the best time of year for $, crowds and weather. It seems like so much to balance, I'm not sure its possible!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Welcome.. At those ages id recommend Paris as they have a better chance on the rides.. I first took my son Logan when he was 14 months as i knew hed take it in alot better. We go every year now.. Our last one was with newcomer Lois, she was 7 months and she loved it although i dont think she will remember.

Id also take someone like your mum, so you can dwindle of on the rides, lol... :)

Hm, so you think Disneyland Paris would be best? DH would be pleased - he's constantly trying to get me to go there and I just want a holiday in France, haha! His family is in Ireland so he thinks we could get them to meet us there. Interesting thought....

I say Paris as the parks are ALOT smaller (but still massive, lol) than Florida. Plenty for the kids to do.. Loads of rides! Beuatiful scenery.. and alot cheaper :D

you wouldnt regret it one bit!!! and youd more than likely go again!!

plus Val de Europe is like 15-25 mins drive away.. :) Great if you dont want to spend £££ on food because it isnt cheap at disney, and the food market is HUGE!! Tons of clothes shops aswell so take loads of money if you do decide to go.. Lol..

We drive there from UK and stay at Davy crocket Ranch.. Awesome place and deserves more stars!!

OH do you go over on the train with your car? We took one holiday when we were in the UK where we drove over and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I think DH thought I was insane because the Channel Tunnel is not as exciting to him, having grown up there, as it was to me.

Anyway, I'll mention it to him for sure. I'm not sure if cost of flights wouldn't cancel out the savings for us. But it would be nice to meet up with his family.
