New here--just set my goal

Hi everyone--

I'm new to this WISH board and just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I've been thinking about eating better and exercising more for a while, and a week ago I decided to really go for it. DH is being very supportive and has rearranged his schedule so that I will have more opportunities to exercise. DH said I could pick some rewards when I reach certain milestones (my goal is 60 pounds for the year). So after much discussion, this is what we decided:

* First 20 pounds = pedicure
* Next 20 pounds = massage
* Final 20 pounds = Disney cruise (Yes, I'm highly motivated now! Never been on one. I can't believe he agreed to that.)

Anyways...I hope to learn from everyone here. I'm pumped up!
 
Congrats on your decision! I am new to the wish board myself - just began my eating healthier, getting fit journey on Dec 31st. My only goal is to walk on my treadmill every day for 30 minutes. I think rewarding yourself at various points along the way is a great idea and what a great final reward for you!

you can do it! you can do it!! there are some accountability threads if that could help you stay on track........the monthly exercise challenge, Biggest Loser 9, etc. Feel free to jump in on any group, any time!

Do what you can though to consider this a lifestyle change so your success will be something you will keep. Make yourself think in terms of giving yourself healthy fuel instead of depriving yourself.
