*New Here* Intimate Wedding Room ?

First off I just want to say that I am addicted to reading these boards! They are great and sooo helpful. With that said I have a question... Do you need to make your 4 night hotel reservation before they can book your ceremony date?

BTW: I used to work at the Swan and Dolphin for 2 years before moving back to NJ so please ask me anything about it if you have questions.

We were married in 2005 and things are always changing, but yes you have to make your room reservation first. I had to give the DFTW department our room confirmation number before they would talk dates. I set ours 9 months in advance and got our date and time no problem.

Hi- Great to find someone who worked at the Swan and Dolphin. I keep changing my plans and ideas as more friends and family have decided to come to Disney for our wedding 5-27-07. We were planning on having a short but sweet ceremony at the swan and did not love any of the locations, so they offered us the beach there. I cannot find any pics of it or of past weddings and they have not sent me any. Have you ever seen a ceremony held there? Our other option was to have it at Leu Gardens- have you ever been there? We already have reservations for dinner at Blue Zoo and a dessert party for the following night. Leu Gardens is a short drive but seems pretty. Any suggestions. We are not into the whole disney wedding- we just love disney and want to be there. Thanks for any advice.

I agree the locations they list are not that great. I have not seen any weddings on the beach but the location is beautiful! You should look into that option further. I will check to see if I have any pictures from around there.
Sorry but I have not heard of Leu Garderns so I can't help there.
