New here, going to wdw in october

Hello everyone,

We are doing a trip to redo my trip that I was given as part of my make a wish trip in 2000.

I was diagnosed at age 2 with multiple disabilities. Was told that I would not be able to do anything but my family didn't believe that so taught me to be as independent as I was able to be. Yet when I had my wish trip I was having 25+ seizures a day, so I have no memories of that trip.

So my husband and my best friend and his wife have decided it was time that we redo the trip, so on October 24th to the 31st of 2015 we are going to wdw. We have also booked tickets to mickeys not so scary Halloween party on the Tuesday that we are there. We are doing it now as I'm finnally as stable as I will ever be with my conditions. We also want to do it while I'm still able enjoy the trip.

We also plan on doing a scrapbook with photos of this trip as that was one thing my mother had forgotten to do is take a lot of photos of the trip. This time we are bring a go pro, a point and shoot camera, and we order the memory maker option.

Your trip sounds amazing and I am so glad you get a redo!
So sorry to hear your first visit wasn't magical, but even if it was you'd be due for another trip
We are going to the MNSSHP too (on Hallowen) for the first time and it looks like so much fun! Lots of great info here on the party and how to plan all to see and do.

I am sure you will have lots of great pics for your scrapbook. We got the Memory Maker on our last trip and I was surprised they even caught us on rides.

Make sure to enjoy the Food & Wine fest at Epcot! I think they're bringing back the Party for the Senses dinners, as well. (Cirque du Soleil type performers!) Are you staying on-site?

Hi, we are staying at art of animation, in the nemo family suites. It's going to be my best friends first time there as well. We have three character dinning reservations booked.

We have already ordered the memory maker. That was one of the first things we did while booking the trip. As I didn't like the fact that my mom never took pictures while on my wish trip but can now understand given that she had me and my little sister who also has special needs. So this time my husband is bring his go pro as well and both me and my best friend are bringing our point and shoot camera to take photos above the photos taken with the memory maker. I can't wait til we go. Now just to start planning out what to bring with us.

That's awesome! October is a great time to go. Not too hot, but warm enough to wear shorts every day. Plus, the F&W Festival and MNSSHP are great. Have a magical time!

So happy for you that you get to do a redo! That'a awesome. You picked the best time to go. October at WDW is so much fun! MNSSHP and Food & Wine are worth the trip alone. Dress up for the party if your group wants to...the majority of people do! The boards are great if you have any specific questions as you plan! Hope it's a magical trip!

So far we have decided I'm going to dress up as a butterfly, and the other three have not decided yet. Finnally figured out what are basic itenery will be. I can't wait til we go.
