Greetings from ORONO! We are neighbors- especially with all the time I spend in Bangor; I am there almost every day! Howdy to all the other Mainers here, too. I love knowing there are local folks who are as Disney-crazy as I am! DD and I will be at POP from 8/17-8/26... only 54 days!!

Hi all you fellow Mainers! I grew up in Corinna, went to college in Bangor, and have lived in Portland for the last 26 years. It's nice to see so many of us on the boards!

How's everyone handling the heat up here?? It's a bit warm - but I'm not going to complain, because in 6 months I'll be complaining about the cold!

Moving from Augusta to Bangor in a few weeks - so excited to be home!

I'm with you, I try to never complain about the heat, cause I hate the cold! And unfortunately the cold lasts a lot longer than the heat does!

I'm from Lincoln, New Brunswick but we travel to Bangor to fly to/from WDW and make lots of shopping trips to Maine during the year. OP is right - take it easy in September - it was VERY hot last September so make sure you schedule in lots of pool time.....
We are travelling to POFQ in December and will be travelling to BGR on 30 Nov to overnight for the very early morning flight out on the 1st Dec.
Of course I have some family in Maine (as most NBers do) - Calais, North Windham, Windham, Boothbay Harbour. We also travel to Brunswick to compete in the Maine Highland Games...
Hope you enjoy the DIS boards - I have learned SO much from them

DH grew up in Windham, and we live on the Windham/Gorham line.

Anywho....It looks like we will be at POR while you are at POFQ!! I am definitely going to walk over there to check it out and try some of those biegnets that I keep hearing all about!!
