Hello all! This is my first time posting. My parents use to take me to Disney every year. Now I have four children ages 6 twins that are 2 and a 9 month old. My family and I are planning on going to Disney maybe end of Feb beginning March. Still trying to decide best time to go...(that is another thing I need help with) want to go when it is good weather, not summer not winter. Anyway, I have a few imp questions. When I was showing my 6yr old things on the comp about Disney I noticed it said adults can take turns with small children. Does this mean my little ones can't go on any of this stuff. By stuff I mean- Pirates of the Carr, small world, haunted mansion, jungle cruise...etc. I mean some things I know they can't go on but geez It wouldn't even be worth going, Hubby and I wouldn't be able to do anything together. my smallest will be 1 yr 6 months when we go. that was my first imp quest!! SECOND is if I want to go feb/march 2005 can I plan and book now? When you book your hotel do you pay up front? THANKS Feel free to email me any answers at arnett6@earthlink.net or arneet1130@hotmail.com Thanks!

Of course I will have strollers and such.....can you leave them by the door while you ride? How does this work?

Welcome to the dis. The Kid Switch to which you are referring is just for rides that have height restrictions such as Space Mountain etc. We took our DS when he was 6 mo's old and he rode on our lap through a lot of rides. Even Ellen's Energy Adventure (which he slept right through). Check out the list of rides with Height Restrictions. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/height.htm.

You can check out individual ride descriptions as well and if they don't say there is a height restriction then you can take the baby in with you.

As far as strollers, they have stroller parking outside of attractions. There are usually CM's there moving them from entrance to exit areas of big attractions. I have never had a problem finding mine when I come out.

a very big thank you!! That makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for taking the time for the response.

Welcome!

March will be warmer, but may be more crowded because of Spring Break. We were there in January this year and it was a bit chilly, but we went swimming any way and wrapped up in towels when we got out of the pool!

As a previous poster said, you'll ALL be able to go on most of the rides together. For the ones that you can't, this is how it works: Tell the first CM (cast member - employee) you see at the attraction that you want to baby swap. They'll give you a "baby swap" pass. The first parent and the 6yo will stand in the regular line. When they're done, the second parent AND THE 6yo use the baby swap pass to go through the fast pass line, which is usually much shorter than the regular line. The cool thing is that your 6yo will get to ride twice in a row, once with each parent. They do this so that the 2nd parent doesn't have to ride alone.[/I][/B][/QUOTE]

Yes, I would go ahead and book now. Usually you pay a deposit of one night's rate, which will get refunded if you cancel before a certain date. Do you know where you want to stay yet?

Thank you again for all your info. I think we will definitely stay at Shades of Green. Being my husband is military. I think the dates we might try and go is March 1st through the 6th 2005. Is it real crwoded then? I forgot about spring break. Ours is the last Spring Break...April. I surely didn't think that would be a good time...or would it. I think it is middle april (our spring break) I am using income tax money to go so really can't go earlier than March. I am just so excited. I can't wait to my childrens face when we get there.
