We are planning a trip in September (it's been 7 years since we went). It's just my 13yods, my sister and myself. (My 3 teenage girls want a beach vacation instead so I'm doing that with them separately, and my dh can't take enough time off to come). Anyway, bear in mind that I'm not dealing with a small child here.

This is our itinerary and the sit-down meal reservations have been made. Please tell me how this looks. I did try for a couple of other restaurants in Epcot, but they were booked (we planned on an early December trip until we found out about the free dining thing so we moved it up and missed out on some places because of that - of course, if we didn't have the dining package, we probably wouldn't make those meals anyway!)

Sat the 6th - arrive at WDW and do whatever we want!

Sun the 7th - Magic Kingdom (extra evening hours)
Lunch @ Harbour House
Dinner @ Crystal Palace @ 7:45

Mon the 8th - AK (extra morning hours)
Lunch somewhere in AK
Leave AK for dinner at Boma’s @ 4:35 p.m.
Head to MGM after dinner until close

Tue the 9th - EPCOT (extra morning hours)
Lunch (still not sure where)
Dinner at 7:00 at Tutto Italia
Catch Illuminations

Wed the 10th - MGM
Lunch (not sure where yet)
Dinner at Hollywood & Vine at 5:20 (Fantasmic seating pkg)

Thu the 11th - MK (extra morning hours)
Late lunch (not sure where)
Leave park at 8 for dinner with the Wicked Stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare
Back to the room to crash!

Fri the 12th - Char Bkfst at Cape May Cafe at 9:30 then depart WDW (unless we get a late flight out in which case we will get an extra day on our passes and go into a park). 1TS

I did change our passes to 7-day (it costs a whole $2 more) so we may do the Crystal Palace for breakfast or the one in AK instead - input??

I love Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland - grilled turkey panini sandwiches and decent canoli for dessert. Pecos Bill's in Frontierland has a HUGE hot and cold fixins bar for your burgers.

In DHS - my daughter has to get a pulled pork sandwich from the CS place right across from the entrance to Backlot Tour - sorry can't remember the name.

At AK, we've tried Pizzafari and Flametree Barbeque and enjoyed them both. There is now a CS at the new Yak & Yeti that we'll try this year. I hear the egg rolls are good and only a snack credit!

Have a terrific trip - we'll be there the same time!

You have some really good ones. The only one we really dislike is Hollywood & Vine--two bad experiences and we won't go back. For your lunch at AK, we suggest Flame Tree Barbecue. For counter service at Epcot, Sunshine Season pleases everyone as there are various stations with something for everyone. For your Thursday at the Magic Kingdom, why don't you try to get a late lunch reservation at The Plaza Restaurant. It is a change of pace from all the other "sit down" restaurants as it is hamburgers, grilled chicken, reubens, club sandwiches, salads, terrific shakes and even better sundaes. A lot of people don't think it is worth it on the dining plan, but we love it. Not sure of when you are thinking of maybe doing Crystal Palace for breakfast, but it is our MUST DO breakfast every trip--but we love the puffed french toast and, of course, Pooh and friends.

everyone has likes and dislikes.......I think you have some excellent choices and you and your crew should enjoy them......we just returned last week and we went to alot of your reservation choices....loved them all.......
If you get to Down Town Disney try the Earl of Sandwich for some great sandwiches.....we all love those....

Have fun and Welcome to the boards......if you need any help or questions just ask away.....

For your lunches at EPCOT & MGM I'd suggest:

EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons

MGM - Backlot Express

On Monday the AK day I would eat a breakfast at the hotel and graba snack in AK. Your dinner ressie is early and the spread at Boma is quite extensive and delicious. I'd save a lot of room for that meal.

As for lunch in Epcot I assume you're planning a CS meal. My advice is to go with a list of options and stop in wherever is close. The World Showcase has lots of great ethnic options and Sunshine Seasons is food court right in the park. It should be easy to eat at Epcot.

As for the Fantasmic pkg, many will say H&V is horrible. We did the same as you and enjoyed our meal: food, service and atmosphere. It isn't a gourmet meal, but its good and your 13yo will find something to eat and if his appetite is pretty big he'll get his fill.

I think everything looks great.. you really picked a lot of good places. I've never been to H&V so I can't have an opinion on that one.

Crystal Palace is fun, and CHH is my favorite CS ever! I have to add that I love Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We do that one everytrip and it is always a blast.

We'll be there the same week as you as well. Maybe we'll see you around!:goodvibes
