New help with our resort plans?

Ok so we are debating upgrading to a deluxe resort for our stay Aug. 23rd-Sept 2nd. We are contemplating staying at All Star Movies for the 23rd-25th and then book at Beach Club for the 25th-2nd and get the free dining. We are already booked at POR for the 23rd-Sept 2nd. We are traveling with our neighbors who are a family of 5 and they can't get the free dining at POR and can upgrade to the deluxe for the same price basically they are paying. For us we would stay at ASM then go to Beach Club and probably pay $300 more than we are now, that's not the issue. I was wondering do we lose the $200 deposit on our room in POR and do I have to pay another $200 deposit on ASM and then another on Beach Club? All in all do I lose $200 and have to pay an extra $400 to book this option? Thanks for your help

I could b wrong but i don't think you lose it. It's well ahead of time so i do believe it'll jjst transfer over. 1 question though How are they paying the same price to stay at a deluxe as POR would've cost?

For a new ressie, they credit you the deposit and you a new deposit down.
