New help with choosing date for late 2008

I am planning our first family vacation at Disney for 2008. I want to go between Thanksgiving and Christmas when Disney will be decorated and hopefully in value season. I am thinking the 12/6-12/13 approximately. I am wondering if there is anything going on during that time (cheerleaders, big events which will lead to big crowds). I would love any feedback or things to consider. My husband's work wants vacation dates for next year on Monday (11/26). Thanks for your help.
