New Haunted Mansion queue

While I like it a lot, I question why they spent the money. There is rarely a que over 10 minutes for that attraction.....:confused3

That's not always true. During the summer months & actually in Jan when we got our season passes we went on a Saturday & stood in line for 45 min. for the Haunted Mansion. Normally the line moves pretty quick, but that day, the park was packed.

We were there last Friday night & they had the new que line going (they were so dead at the time as the fireworks were starting up) that we could choose the new line or go straight into the ride. We had our 10 yr old DD with us, who wanted to see the new line before it got too busy. Pretty neat if you ask me. There are some "spray/water" areas, and there is alot of hands on stuff which is neat. Something to keep you occupied while standing in the lines, especially during the summer. :thumbsup2

We just got back and rode Haunted Mansion twice. The first time we had an option, either go straight on to the ride, or tour the cemetery. At the time we didn't know what that meant so we just went straight onto the ride :( When we finally figured it out, we went back for EMH to see the cemetery but since there was no one in line they had the cemetery blocked off with some bushes! Still haven't gotten to see it first-hand. Darn, guess I'll just have to go back!

I will admit I stopped going to the tiki room after the new queue and show.
I watched the YouTube and Disney blog videos of the new HM queue and can't wait to try it out. I'm not telling the DW about any of the upgrades. She'll enjoy the surprise
I'm going to forget I read about the location of the ride :headache:
31 days until I get my Premier AP woohoo!

Here's another video showing the Hitchhikers update that was recently unveiled as well. Notice how the ghosts interact with you and switch heads and make them disappear. Very cool!

Thanks for the videos. HM is one of our favorites, just hoping we will get to see the new queue line in September.

It was pretty cool. I like the new addition to the line, and it's somewhat interactive too.
